What a destination specialist actually does

Moved the Vatican tour to the afternoon, starting from the northern wall
Fewer crowds in the afternoon, and even fewer at the northern entrance. Briefed the guide, Andrea, on the walking — two hours maximum, routed to avoid the worst of it.
Later train out of Rome
The next day, a driver to the hotel lobby at 10:45am for the 11:30am departure. Arrival in Venice around 2pm — perfect for check-in, a rest and a stroll before dinner.
Arranged a water taxi from the station
Arriving by water, up the Grand Canal, is the proper way to arrive in Venice. And we don't want guests dragging bags over seven bridges for twenty minutes.
Booked the Doge's Palace with guide Max
Guest is a history buff and Max is a Venetian history teacher. Besides, Max has been consistently well rated this season by our guests. A good match.
