Why Visit Invergarry, United Kingdom

Don't miss the chance to visit Invergarry in the Scottish Highlands, a village full of beautiful nature, historical heritage and captivating stories. Surrounded by Loch Oich, Loch Garry and Loch Quoich, the village offers breathtaking sceneries and numerous trails to enjoy it.

The Glengarry Forest is a must-visit while exploring the surroundings! Let the scenic walks take you through the most picturesque pine woodlands or walk along the River Garry and take in the views. It is undoubtedly one of the greatest nature escapes in the area.

Some other points of interest on an Invergarry tour include the Bridge of Oich, dating back to the 19th century, as well as the ruins of the Invergarry Castle. The castle was built by the MacDonnells in the 17th century and even though only remnants are left now to gaze at, it is still quite a unique landmark.

In addition to that, make sure to visit the obelisk on the western shore of the Loch Oich, dedicated to the "Well of The Seven Heads". A legend has it that after killing two brothers, their uncle and his six sons were decapitated and their heads were severed and then washed in the well. A monument now stands by the shore to tell the story, however, it is not the only sight enveloped by myths and legends in the area.

Invergarry is one of the most unique locations in the region, providing a number of mysterious yet alluring sights to see.
