Sognefjord - the largest fjord in Norway

Sognefjord is Norway's longest fjord which stretches 204 kilometers (127 miles) inland and is considered to be one of the most spectacular sights on the planet. It is the gateway to nature's picture perfect untouched paradise from the Atlantic Ocean to the foot of the Jotunheimen and Jostedalsbreen National Parks, splintering into six subsidiary fjords. One of the fjord's arms, called Naeroyfjord, is on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Bicycling is another common activity around here with more than 20,000 cyclists traverse this route from July to September. The 50 miles long path follows the Bergen railway from mountains down to the stunning fjord and opens views to an idyllic shoreline as well as colorful villages and farms.

The charm of this wide and glorious fjord is hidden in its spectacular panorama, beautiful sunsets, and rich heritage. Experience the breathtaking nature of Sognefjord and see some of the highest waterfalls in Norway.
