Half-Day Private Tour of Baku

Today after breakfast you meet your guide and driver at the hotel and set off on a saturated tour around the remarkable city of Baku.

The tour begins from the UNESCO-listed Old City surrounded by massive walls and often referred to as “Icheri Sheher” by the local residents. The exploration of the historical district of Old Baku includes the famous 12th-century Maiden Tower, the impressive Complex of Shirvanshahs Palace as well as the medieval Caravanserai and central Markets square.

Afterward, you get a chance to visit the Heydar Aliyev Cultural Center built by world-famous architect Zaha Hadid. Due to its innovative and cutting-edge design, the building has become a signature landmark of modern Baku.

After the tour, you return to the hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Half-Day Tour of Gobustan National Park

After breakfast, you leave Baku for a trip to the hallmark Gobustan National Park. Set on a hill in the southeast end of the Greater Caucasus mountain ridge, the Gobustan Rock Art Cultural Landscape boasts so ancient rock engravings, mud volcanoes,  and gas-stones. This unique formation is one of the 2 sights in Azerbaijan inscribed on the UNESCO World Heritage List.

Having an orientation walk around the place, you also make an inside visit to Gobustan Museum, also known as the Petroglyph for displaying the drawings on the rock created by primitive inhabitants. Here you find the amazing evidence of the past: rock paintings and diverse objects of material culture used by ancient people a long time ago. The collection is, indeed, impressive as there are more than 4000 rock engravings preserved in Gobustan and depicting people, animals, collective hunting, dancing and other scenes from our ancestors' everyday life.

After breakfast, you check out from your Baku hotel and meet your guide and driver to make your way to a place of awe-inspiring nature, Sheki. Upon arrival, you spend the day exploring the famous local highlights and taking in the ravishing surroundings.

During the tour, you visit the Palace of Sheki Khans, a unique complex that previously served as a summer residence of khans. Can you imagine that this marvelous 18th-century palace was built without a single nail?

Tour to Kakheti Region & Wine Tasting

Following breakfast, you check out from your Sheki hotel and embark on a day tour to the stunning Georgian region, Kakheti. The first stunning stop of the day is Signagi, one of the tiniest cities in the country. Often referred to as the "City of Love", Signagi will definitely take your breath away with its picturesque landscapes, charming narrow cobbled streets, and pastel houses located in the heart of wine-growing regions.

During the Signagi city tour, you pay a visit to the Bodbe Monastery, which was built in the 9th century and now functions as a nunnery. Once used as a coronation venue for the Kings of Kakheti, the landmark boasts a fascinating basilica and refreshing gardens perfect for peaceful strolls.

After time for lunch, you make the last stop of the day in Tsinandali. This historic Georgian village is home to the first winery in Georgia and a perfect place to discover more about the regional wine.

After the visit to the Shumi winery, you are transferred еo your hotel in Tbilisi for check-in and overnight.

Tbilisi City Tour & Folk Show

Following breakfast, you meet your guide and driver at the hotel and go on an unforgettable Tbilisi city tour. You start with a visit to the historical city district Metekhi, where you see the famous Metekhi Cathedral built in the 13th century and located on a picturesque cliff offering just magnificent panoramic views of Tbilisi and the river Mtkvari.

Afterward, you have a cable car to the ancient Tbilisi landmark which actually existed even before the city itself, the Narikala Fortress. Established in the 4th century and often called the mother fortress of Tbilisi, this unique landmark has become a real symbol of the city.

Another highlight of the tour is a ride with a funicular up to the holy mountain Mtatsminda, with amazing views of Georgia's capital and the surrounding nature.

You then continue to explore famous Tbilisi landmarks including the oldest surviving church of the city, the Anchiskhati Basilica, the Bridge of Peace, the district of sulfur baths as well as wander through the charming streets of Chardin and Leselidze.

In the evening you return to your hotel to have some rest and prepare for an exciting night with dinner and a Folk Show.

Your private driver takes you to the venue, where you enjoy a delicious meal and opportunity to learn more about Georgia's traditions and customs.

Tour on the Way to Kazbegi

Following breakfast and a check out from the Tbilisi hotel, you meet your guide and driver to embark on an exciting trip following one of the most scenic mountain roads in the world, the Georgian Military Road.

The first stop on your way is a wonderful castle complex on the Aragvi river, Ananuri. Built in the 17th century with an aim to control the road, today the landmark simply astonishes travelers with its postcard-like location and the rich history visible in the architecture of the castle.

Then you proceed to the highest village on the highway, Gudauri, which astounds you with the frosty scenery of the Greater Caucasus Mountain Range.

The last but not the least highlight of the day is the mind-blowing panoramas of Kazbek Mountain and the nearby Gergeti Church. The fascinating church is situated at an elevation of 2,170 m (7,119 ft) under Mount Kazbek and makes an impressive background for memorable photos.

After the tour you are transferred to a beautiful hotel at the base of Mount Kazbek for an overnight.

Tour of Mtskheta, Chacha Tasting & Churchkhela Master Class

After breakfast you check out from the hotel in Kazbegi, meet with your guide and start a day tour to Mtskheta. This UNESCO World Heritage Site was the capital of the eastern Georgian kingdom for many centuries until the 5th century AD.

During the tour you walk through the old town and step into the beautifully decorated Svetitskhoveli Cathedral, built in the 11th century.

After exploring this ancient town, you visit a traditional local restaurant for Georgian cuisine lunch. Following lunch, you have a one-of-a-kind chacha tasting experience. This signature brandy drink of Georgia is made from pomace, left from winemaking and is usually about 40%, but can reach up to 60% if it is homemade. The drink is believed to work as a medical remedy too, so cheers!

After discovering the taste of the national Georgian drink you attend a churchkhela making master class to unveil the art of creating a delicacy the Georgians are so proud of! During the masterclass, you get to make your own churchkhela consisting of grape dust, flour, and nuts.

After the tour you are transferred to Tbilisi hotel for check-in.

Tour to Uplistsikhe Caves & Gori

Following breakfast you meet your guide and driver at the hotel lobby and set out on a five-hour tour.

Af first you head for Uplistsikhe, an ancient rock-hewn town. The town, which is one of the oldest urban settlements in Georgia, played an important role in the history of the country. During Mongol invasions Uplistsikhe was damaged and virtually abandoned in the 13th century. Nowadays fascinating rocky caves complex of Uplistsikhe is a popular destination for tourists visiting Georgia.

After Uplistsikhe you are transferred to Gori to discover the birthplace of Joseph Stalin. Born in 1879, Stalin lived in Gori until the age of 4. You visit the old wooden hut where Stalin lived with his family, which is now known as the Museum of Stalin, as well as the railway car which Stalin used to travel throughout the country. During the tour your guide tells you about the role this town played in the Soviet history.

After the tour you are taken back to your hotel in Tbilisi and have the evening at leisure.

Departure from Tbilisi

This is the final day of your one-of-a-kind journey around the most picturesque and sacred places of Azerbaijan and Georgia. After breakfast, your driver meets you in the hotel lobby and takes you to the airport for your flight back home.
