Hardly any bank outside of Mongolia will stock Tugrik bills or even coins so that you'll have to change your money after arrival.

Food

Make sure to sample local cuisine while in Mongolia; some of the must-taste specialties include but are not limited to Huushuur, Bansh, Khorkhog, Aaruul, and Boortsog.

How much to tip

Tipping in the region is optional yet appreciated; leaving up to 10% in tips is considered polite to do.
