Pay Tribute at Normandy American Cemetery

Visit the American Cemetery in Normandy and the memorial to pay your respects to those who've fallen on the beaches of Normandy in pursuit of freedom. Featuring monuments in their honor, the site lays overlooking the notorious D-Day Omaha Beach and is the final resting place of over 9000 soldiers. It also houses the Normandy Visitors Center, exhibiting numerous informative displays depicting the events.

During the tour, you'll also see other monuments built to pay tribute to the D-Day casualties, such as the bronze statue "Spirit of American Youth Rising from the Waves" and the Walls of the Missing with over 1500 names inscribed. In addition to that, there is also a chapel and an orientation table providing information about the landings on the beaches nearby.

It is important to bear in mind that the sites are war graves, thus, visitors are expected to dress and behave respectfully.
