Applaud the masterpiece of Roman engineering, the aqueduct of Pont du Gard in the Occitanie Region of France. Consisting of three vertical rows of arches, the 49-meter high (160 ft) construction was built as part of the route supplying water to the former city of Nimes. During your guided tour, you'll have the opportunity to not only marvel at the highest aqueduct dating back to the Roman times firsthand but delve deeper into its history and significance as well.

Did you know that Pont du Gard weights almost 50.000 tonnes? The imposing structure is now a UNESCO World Heritage Site and boasts an informative museum at its left bank, displaying exhibits and stories depicting the aqueduct.

No prior preparation is needed for the tour, however, pay attention to the borders of the aqueduct while strolling around.
