A Fine Tour

The over all tour was fine. The hotels were all nice except for the Hotel in Madrid. The location was good, the staff was friendly and helpful but the room was shabby. The hotel is badly in need of refreshment in paint and fixtures. The room was tiny with no where even to put our suit cases. The other hotels were much nicer in every way. The tours arranged for us were all excellent with very knowledgeable and considerate guides. We enjoyed each tour very much. The transfers were another matter. Twice we were unable to connect with our transfers. The first time was in Malaga at the train depot. We were told to meet the driver in the arrival hall. The train was on time and we went straight to the arrival hall where there were many people holding signs for transfers but none with our names. We waited a full hour but no one ever came to get us so we took a cab to the hotel. The second time was in Barcelona at the air port where we waited 50 minutes before taking a cab to the hotel. When we arrived at the hotel there was no reservation in our name. However, the very efficient hotel staff were able to straighten the problem out with your support team. I was asked for the receipt for the taxi which I sent via email to your support team but have to date received no refund. One other problem with the transfers was that the driver in Madrid arrived over an hour early to take us to the train station causing my traveling companion to rush and miss her breakfast. This would have been no problem if the driver had called the hotel the night before and told us she was coming an hour earlier than planned but there was no such communication. Other than the two failed transfers and the mix up at the Barcelona hotel everything went well and was enjoyable.
