Everything was wonderful. All drivers were on time, pleasant and helpful. Our guides were all excellent, knowledgeable and so accommodating. Hotels were all excellent. My only criticism is the hotel in Bologna. I wish it were centrally located. We had to take taxis to and from dinner. I prefer walking out in the heart of town like our hotel in Florence. However, I did not make that clear as we were planning the trip. So I am to blame for that. And the emergency help was wonderful as we were in touch with Sim. At the beginning of the trip when we faced a train derailment from Venice to Bologna, we called Elizabetta our guide who was suppose to meet us in Bologna and she gave us the emergency number. The Firebird Emergency in Switzerland especially Daria V stayed in touch until we met the driver she had arranged for us. Only the highest grade for Firebird.(I will be in touch with Sim for our train refund and the payment we made for the additional driver.)
