• Surpassed every expectation we had

  Our recent trip to Italy planned by Firebird Tours truly surpassed every expectation we had. From the very beginning, every detail was handled with exceptional care—airport transfers, transportation between train stations, daily tours, and hotel accommodations were all seamless. What impressed us most was how thoughtfully the itinerary was built around our specific interests and the locations we wanted to experience. As first-time international travelers, we admittedly had some anxiety—especially around navigating airports, transportation, and simply understanding how things work outside the U.S. But Firebird completely eliminated that stress. Before departure, we had consistent communication with our travel specialist, and once our trip began, their 24/7 support gave us total peace of mind. Whether by text or phone, they were always there. On the rare occasion when something didn’t go exactly as planned—maybe not immediately spotting a driver or needing clarification on a tour address—their response was immediate and reassuring. And to be clear, in a 12-day trip involving four hotels, daily tours, and multiple transfers, we only encountered one small misstep. That alone speaks volumes about their organization and attention to detail. Throughout the entire journey, we felt supported every step of the way—like someone was quietly guiding us behind the scenes to ensure everything went perfectly. It allowed us to fully relax and enjoy what became one of the most memorable experiences of our lives. When we plan our next trip, there will be no question—Firebird Tours will be our first and only call.

• Enjoyed the whole day excursions. Appreciated putting us in La Spezia instead of one of the Cinque Terre towns as handling luggage would have been difficult. We really enjoyed La Spezia.

  First time using Firebird and the experience exceeded our expectations! We have used several companies in the past, primarily for Africa; but never for Italy/Europe since we know the area well from our career days. The logistics were impressive as all transfers on trains, or by private car, were timely and high quality. The local tour guides were knowlegable and professional. All hotels were in excellent locations and were world class properties. Firebird listened well to our requests and the results were impressive!

  Planning with Firebird was great! Each representative took the time to really listen to the vision I had in mind for the trip. Choices and suggestions were provided for each aspect. I specifically wanted to stay in a Tuscan villa and one was found, the Borgo San Vincenzo in Montepulciano, which was fantastic!

• I will recommend Firebird to all of my friends. Everything about this trip was well planned and perfect. The size of the group was perfect. The hotels were wonderful. The staffs at the hotels were wonderful. The drivers were amazingly, courteous and helpful, and all of the guides were knowledgeable and very pleasant. Also, everyone was on time.

  Firebird put together an excellent overall trip for us. Guides were excellent. Itineray worked for us with combination of urban (Verona) and mountain trip(Bolzano, Ortisei, Cortina). Great sales team and pre and post trip team. We did have one hiccup on transport but they made this right for us in the end so give them kudos for fixing an issue. I would recommend Firebird for a trip to the Dolomites and Italy and elsewhere.

  We loved our time on the coast. Firebird again did a wonderful job with planning, recommendations, etc. The only tour we didn’t love was our Amalfi Coast tour. It was not a private or small group tour (our fault) and it felt like we were just on a ferry being dropped off at each location.

  We traveled to Norway and Finland in 2019 (even though it states 2020 below) with Firebird tours. It was a small group tour but it was ultimately a 2 person tour! The service from each and every guide was fantastic. They were always on time to meet us either at the airport or hotel for a tour. The lodgings were unique, clean and we never had a complaint. Each local guide was unique, informative and friendly. Don't hesitate.. Firebird customer service was great from payments to questions and assistance in any way. We'd definitely travel with them again and are looking forward to Switzerland and Northern Italy when travel is open again.

  FireBird Tours created a 5 day private group of tours and excursions to wrap around a planned event in Switzerland/Italy. THEY DID AN EXCELLENT JOB! Wine tastings, city tours, cooking class (must do), historic areas and other items. Plus, when a minimal hiccup happened they answered the phone within two rings and solved my problem.
