Real experiences, real memories — discover UK through the eyes of travelers who’ve been there.
31 days from the UK throughout Italy - planning, organizing, adding the excursions, private tour guides and standing by for anything we needed all through our trip Firebird was exceptional!Thomas Giulioni — 2026-06-23
I'm so glad I chose Firebird Tours for our family trip to the UK and Ireland. We had an amazing trip and a lot is due to the organization and communication with Firebird. Throughout the process, Firebird was quick to return my emails and customize the trip for the things we wanted to do. We did a 10-day trip with basically 3 days in each country: England, Scotland and Ireland. Our first day we were on our own--as we were usually traveling. Firebird handled all of the inter-country travel arrangements and everything ran smoothly. We selected a half-day walking tour for each country our first full day and each tour guide was on time to meet us at our hotel and brought enthusiasm for and different perspectives on their city. Our second day in each country we opted for an out-of-town excursion. Our first two tours (Cotswolds & Oxford and Loch Ness & the Highlands) were with Rabbies. I can't say enough about them. They were friendly and fun and made the long drives enjoyable. I only wish we could have stayed longer in some of the stops--but as each day was already pretty long, I can understand why they kept to a tight schedule. Our last tour was to Blarney Castle with Paddywagon Tours. This was a big bus (the others were little buses) and we had a fantastic time with stops at Rock of Cashel and Blarney Castle. We had plenty of time to explore at each stop and didn't feel rushed. Our transfers to and from the airports and train stations were a godsend. They were on time or early (except once, and they not only contacted us directly to let us know they were running late, they also contacted the hotel). When our plane was delayed 3 hours, I panicked we would miss our transfer, but they were monitoring flights and made sure someone was there when we landed. There were a couple times our flights were delayed and I contacted Firebird each time. In both instances they confirmed our transfers would still be there. It was an easy and pleasant experience. One last thing--our hotels were spectacular and each included a breakfast that was far more than what we were expecting. Thank you Firebird for a trip we'll never forget!Wendy K — 2026-06-23

We booked at 20 day trip around the UK and Ireland for two with Firebird. This was our first trip with them. The trip was excellent! Everything was planned out for us; the hotels (4 and 5 stars), the drivers, the guides, the train and boat rides and several tours. We loved having the tour guides… they were very knowledgeable, helpful and friendly. Stand outs were Fabrizio, Fiona, Ian, Liam, Jer and Kieran. The drivers were wonderful as well, especially Graham. Joe was a great driver too. They were outstanding. Will miss them! The group was great as well. Was lovely to travel with them. We did private walking tours in several cities with tour guides as well. We can’t imagine doing the trip any other way. Each day was a mini-trip. We had 20 days of several trips and everything went well. Whenever we had questions, Firebird was a text away. They were very helpful. Our drivers and guides were all on time, even when our times changed by air travel. We saw and did so much on this trip. Hotels were all well located and lovely. We were able to find pubs and restaurants around us for our evenings. The tours themselves included Tower of London, Windsor Castle, city tours, tours of stand out places along the way to a new city, Cliffs of Moher, Belfast Castle grounds, too many to mention. This was a trip of a lifetime and we were blown away by the amount of planning they did for us. A huge thank you to Anna and the rest of the team.a f — 2024-10-05

This company had our trip planned out exactly as we had asked from beginning to end. The devil is in the details they say, and all the details were well taken care of. Our travel agent from Firebird, Polina, listened to us as we built a customized trip. She adjusted and readjusted things until everything in the itinerary was perfect! All of our tour guides, drivers, tours, etc were prompt and professional. The hotels were all spot on. We were so very happy with our trip! We had no complaints whatsoever!!!Kim Curry — 2023-06-16
A definite 5 Scotland and Ireland were MAGICAL ! Upon arriving in Edinburgh our driver was there and waiting .The hotel was our favorite of them all ,absolutely stunning ,well located ,clean ,bed incredible, efficient and the breakfast was AMAZING. Staff were wonderful .our walking tour guide the next day was so personal ( can't remember name ) a master of his tour craft and a great walker .we can't say enough positive about him . On to Inverness to meet up with Michelle ,wonderful woman ,went way out her way to make our tour experience AMAZING .the next guide took us to lochness boat ride ( that was so so ) BUT he then proceeded to the highlands where we requested a great walk which he did .He was WONDERFUL TOO !! suggested a great restaurant in ft William. Have an idea rembering guides names but they ALL were ones we would rate 5 tttttttTacy Fleener — 2022-11-05
Customers consistently praise the excellent service, highlighting how the company removes stress from international travel by handling all arrangements, from hotels to transfers and tours. People frequently commend the knowledgeable and personable local guides who enhance their holidays with insightful information and a perfect balance of scheduled activities and free time. Reviewers also appreciate the well-chosen hotels, often in ideal locations, and the smooth planning process that allows for customization and flexibility.
All of the excursions were great, excellent guides throughout who added detail and personal perspectives which was a plus. The transfers were seamless from city to city. The only negative was our stay at the Moxy in Belfast. High winds made all the windows whistle and leak air so it was tough to rest. One room had a bad mattress and some lighting problems we fixed. Otherwise, all the hotels were perfectly situated in the city centers which made walking about easy.
We are a family of 8, 3 generations, and living in different places. We decided we wanted to meet in Scotland and see this beautiful country. Firebird put together a wonderful trip for us. We gave them our specific wants and needs and they added recommendations as to what and how to see everything! Then they made all of the arrangements including hotels, transportation, and guides. They even had suggestions for restaurants if needed. For a group of 8, this was wonderful. Everything was arranged at a high quality level and no one person had to worry that something wouldn't go right. Thank you Firebird!
We wanted to cover a large area in a couple weeks and Firebird was wonderful in making that happen.

We had a wonderful experience overall in Scotland and Ireland. Great hotels and locations. Fabulous guides especially in Edinburgh (Tanja Rensch), and in Inverness (Bob from Caledonian Supreme Tour). They were so knowledgeable and great hosts which made the visit to these cities so interesting and unforgettable. The only quite upsetting experience was choosing the hotel Loch Leven Hotel & Distillery in Fort Williams, Scotland. We even called Firebird's customer service department immediately upon arrival to help us change to another hotel in a more centrally located area of the city to no avail, as we were completely isolated and nothing within walking distance. Our room was upstairs with no lift and with heavy luggage. The room was *old*, there was a terrible smell from the carpet, the bathroom was also dated, and the shower did not work properly. The only thing we enjoyed was the self-paid dinners. Even multiple guides were surprised that Firebird Tours put us in this hotel instead of the Garrison, which is newly remodeled and apparently the hotel of choice where they typically book their guests. Why were we put at the Loch Leven hotel then? Additionally, the pictures provided in their literature are not at all representative of the actual facility. This is why we did not give them five stars. We booked our reservations with Firebirds Tours in the USA.
We create memorable journeys with the quality, care, and recognition travelers look for.

Everything went smoothly for the most part. Our Hadian's Wall excursion never happened due to a problem with the provider. A credit has yet to appear on our credit card.
Good guides- lovely places. Hotels were good. One exception: Alexandra Hotel- not sure where the pictures on our itinerary came from- not the hotel we stayed in. The place is sadly neglected. The lock on our door would spin many times and sometimes lock. The bathroom door would not close unless the tricky lock was turned just right. The bed was fine. Hot water was not available for three of our showers. The connected restaurant food was fine for one supper, but breakfast food was bad. The staff seemed sad too. I felt like I was in a poorly run nursing home.
I had to take a star off for the Dublin walking tour. It wasted too much time simply walking no where of interest. We only saw the book of kells and then left us at Guinness where we had a long walk back to the hotel seeing nothing. I feel like there have been a better way to see more in such a great city.
