Discover the romantic Inveraray Castle & Gardens

Loch Fyne separates Inveraray from Glasgow by 60 miles in an area of breathtaking natural beauty. Against the rugged backdrop of the highlands lies the sheltered tidal Loch, beside which stands the present Castle built between 1746 and 1789. It is a prime example of Gothic Revival architecture.

Inveraray Castle was designed by Roger Morris and decorated by Robert Mylne and is the ancestral home of the Dukes of Argyll, chiefs of the Campbell clan who have lived in Inveraray since the early 15th century.

With its beautifully maintained gardens and expansive estate, the castle offers some beautiful walks alongside. There is a tearoom offering light refreshments, as well as a gift shop selling Scottish goods.
