One of the most important attractions of Alaska – Kenai Fjords National Park is located on the southeastern coast of the Kenai Peninsula, in the central part of the U.S. state of Alaska. It has been operating since 1980 to protect the Arctic territories.
The park area, which represents unique glaciers, snow avalanches, sea bays, mountain gorges, and icebergs, is 2833 square kilometers: snow and ice-covered 60 percent of the territory. At the same time, despite the Arctic cold, the area is not lifeless; polar bears and the largest mammals – whales live here, the coastline is rich in marine flora and fauna.
Structurally, Kenai Fjords includes the coastal part, the Harding Ice Field, and the Disappearing Glacier. Amazing views of Alaska are also revealed in the largest city of the destination – Anchorage, and you can see one of the most amazing wonders – the Northern Lights – on the snow-covered expanses of Fairbanks. A fantastic adventure awaits you!
