Why visit Ouzoud Falls, Morocco

The Ouzoud Falls are a perfect place to escape the summer heat and enjoy nature at its finest. The waterfall empties into the El-Abid River's gorge and is one of the tallest waterfalls in Africa as well (are 110 meters high). This place is one of the most photographed natural sites in all of Morocco. It stands atop of the Azilal region, overlooking Tanaghmeilt village. The monkeys of this African waterfall are more than just spectators to the beautiful scenery. They have their own swimming pool and enjoy wetting themselves in it every now again.

This attraction is free to visit. There is a car park and a boat at the bottom that costs £2. Keep your eyes peeled because monkeys love steals sunglasses! Don’t get too close or touch them either.

Walking up to the bottom of this falls, surrounded by olive trees and their canopy coverings, is like walking in paradise on earth. At the top of this place, there are twelve old small mills still in use. This beauty can be admired endlessly!
