Tips for the Family Travel

When traveling in Europe with your family members (or traveling alone), there are things you should keep in mind.

    You are going to be walking a loooot! Make sure each member brings the most comfortable pair of shoes.

  • Food

    Each country has a lot to offer in terms of gastronomic experience. Don't hesitate to ask for a kids menu!

  • Currency

    Most of Europe has Euro. For small purchases and tips, we would advise having local currency on hand.

  • How much to tip

    Check if the bill includes service charge. It's acceptable to show gratitude by tipping 5-10% of your bill.

  • Weather

    The climate depends on each region, for instance, in the south is pleasant all-year-round. Pack sunscreen.

  • Other tips

    Some places will charge you for using a public restroom. You will need 1-2 Euros in cash to enter.

    We caught the Northern Lights!

    Traveled to Finland

    All of the travel coordinators were very helpful and made our trip as pleasant as possible! Thank you! We were able to see the Northern Lights on two different nights. Also, the dog sledding was excellent where we went for 12k.

    We enjoyed seeing the cities we visited

    Traveled to United Kingdom, Ireland

    When we had to call for more directions or missed connections the response was quick and they always called, texted, or emailed a follow-up to make sure we were taken care of. We enjoyed seeing the cities we visited, but for us the countryside scenery was awesome! We especially enjoyed our tours with Rabbies. The Scotland tours with drivers Charlie and MacKenzie (Mac) were informative and very fun.

    We had a great time visiting my daughter in Copenhagen. Firebird took the stress out of the logistics for us. The work of our Travel Coordinator was excellent. We had a slight issue with hotel reservations, and it was taken care of immediately by your support staff. I was very impressed by their responsiveness. The highlight of our trip was getting to hug my daughter for the first time in 3 months.
