Trip to Mount Pilatus – Peaks, Panoramas & Pure Alpine Magic

Today, meet your private guide for an unforgettable adventure to the top of Mount Pilatus, where breathtaking views of the Lucerne region await.

Your journey begins with a scenic cruise across Lake Lucerne to Alpnachstad*. From there, board the legendary cogwheel railway, the steepest in the world, and ride through lush Alpine meadows, dramatic rock formations, and sparkling mountain streams as you climb to the summit of Mount Pilatus (2,132 m / 6,995 ft). The views from the top are nothing short of spectacular.

For the descent, glide down the mountain by cable car, soaking in the panoramic scenery one more time. Finally, enjoy a relaxing 20-minute bus ride from Kriens back to Lucerne.

*Please note: The boat and cogwheel train are available only from mid-May to mid-October. During the other months, the tour begins with a 20-minute bus ride to Kriens.
