Visiting the Gandan Monastery & Ulan Bator Departure and Arrival to Gorkhi-Terelji National Park

After breakfast you check out from your hotel, meet your guide and explore the legendary Mongolian Buddhist Gandan Monastery in Ulan Bator. 

Explore the majestic Migjid Janraisig Sum temple, home to a stunning 26.5-meter-high statue of Avalokitesvara. Witness monks performing daily rituals and ceremonies, and learn about the monastery's rich history and significance.

Stroll through the monastery's tranquil grounds, visiting various temples and shrines, each showcasing unique architecture and spiritual meaning. Gain insights into Mongolia's Buddhist traditions from your knowledgeable guide.

You then depart from the capital to the camp.

Upon arrival and a traditional lunch, you take a tour of the picturesque Gorkhi-Terelji National Park, a natural wonder renowned for its dramatic landscapes. Marvel at the park's striking rock formations, including the iconic Turtle Rock, and explore its lush meadows and serene forests. Hike to the tranquil Aryabal Monastery, where breathtaking vistas of the park's natural splendor await.

In the evening you enjoy dinner at the camp. You spend this night in a traditional Mongolian yurt. 

Optionally, you can enjoy a 1-hour pony riding.

Flight to Gobi Desert from Ulan Bator and Exploring Khongoryn Els & Sand Dunes

Today following breakfast you check out and meet your private driver who transfers you to the airport. 

Your plane arrives in the small oasis-city of Dunhuang. Upon arrival, your guide and driver take you to the Khongoryn Els also known as "Singing Sands" - the biggest sand dunes in Mongolia. 

After exploring the massive sand dunes, you are transferred to the ger camp overnight.

Camel Breeding Family & Trip to Flaming Cliffs

In the morning following breakfast you,will visit a camel-breeding family and gain insight into their simple yet challenging way of life. You will have the opportunity to observe their daily routines, learn about camel husbandry, and experience the unique cultural traditions that define their lifestyle. 

This visit provides a rare glimpse into the resilience and resourcefulness required to thrive in such a demanding environment.

Optionally, you can explore the vast natural beauty of the Gobi Desert by camel. During the 1-hour ride, you admire the breathtaking desert scenery.

After exploring the massive sand dunes, you will be driven to Bayanzag, a renowned dinosaur excavation site. The striking red cliffs of Bayanzag, often referred to as the Flaming Cliffs, have been sculpted by water and wind erosion over millions of years. 

This area is famous for its rich paleontological history, with numerous significant dinosaur discoveries, including Protoceratops and the first dinosaur eggs, unearthed here. The site was discovered by American zoologist Roy Chapman Andrews, who played a pivotal role in bringing its historical and scientific significance to the world's attention.

After that your you return to your camp for overnight.

Trip to Yolyn Am

You spend the day exploring the Yolyn Am - a deep and narrow gorge in the Gurvan Saikhan Mountains of southern Mongolia. Yolyn Amis is often translated as Valley of the Vultures or Valley of the Eagles.

During the tour, you explore the natural beauty of Gobi Gurvansaikhan National Park, its unique structures and formations. As a special treat, you enjoy a picnic right in the park. 

After the tour, you return to your camp.

Flight to Ulan Bator from Dalanzadgad and City Tour & Folk Show in Ulan Bator

In the morning you are transferred to the airport for your flight back to the capital.

Upon arrival, you are transferred to your hotel for check-in. Then you meet your guide in the hotel lobby and go on a walking city tour around the most interesting attractions of Ulan Bator.

During the tour, you visit the National Museum of Mongolia, one of the leading museums in the whole country and the one which is responsible for preserving Mongolian cultural heritage. You also stroll along the main streets of the city, see the Parlament house and walk through the central Sukhbaatar Square formerly known as Genghis Khan Square.

After the tour, you return to the hotel to take some rest or continue exploring the city center on your own. In the evening you attend an amazing Mongolian folk show at the State National Song and Dance Academic Ensemble of Mongolia (transfers are included). After the show the rest of the evening is free.

Note: Folk show in Ulan Bator is available from the middle of May to the beginning of October.

This is the final day of your amazing Mongolia tour! 

Following breakfast you check out from the hotel and your driver transfers you to the airport for your flight back home.
