Day 1: Arrival to Johannesburg

Welcome to Johannesburg - South Africa's bustling metropolis located in the very heart of the country! Your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free for you to start exploring the surroundings on your own, dine in one of the local restaurants or take a good rest before the rich sightseeing program planned for the next day.

Day 2: Johannesburg City Tour & Visit to the Apartheid Museum

Following breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go on a wonderful sightseeing tour around the most interesting attractions of Johannesburg. 

During the tour you drive through the famous Banking District, see the Magistrate's Court and the Supreme Court, enjoy the best city views from the Top of Africa viewing platform located on the 50th floor of the Carlton Center and visit the Museum Africa to learn more about African culture and history.

The highlight of this day is a visit to the world-famous Apartheid Museum that displays the 20th century history of South Africa. The museum's 22 unique exhibition areas, including the Pillars of the Constitution and the Nelson Mandela exhibition, show the rise and fall of apartheid, telling the story of a state-sanctioned system based on racial discrimination and the struggle of the majority to overthrow this tyranny.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the evening at leisure.

Day 3 - 6: Kapama Game Reserve Safari Experience

After breakfast you check out from your hotel and your driver transfers you to the airport for a flight to Hoedspruit (flight tickets are included). Upon arrival you are transferred to your safari lodge located in the Kapama Game Reserve, where you spend the following 5 nights on a full board and game drive basis.

Situated in South Africa’s northernmost province of Limpopo, famous for its prolific and diverse wildlife, Kapama Private Game Reserve is home to about 350 bird species and over 40 mammal species, including the the famous African Big Five - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.

During the following 5 days you have the unique chance to see the main treasures of this outstanding reserve and experience its diverse wildlife and mind-boggling nature.

5 breakfasts, 5 lunches and 5 dinners are included.

Day 7: Flight to Cape Town

After you return from your morning game drive, you have time to enjoy breakfast and then meet your driver who transfers you to the Hoedspruit airport for your flight to Cape Town (flight tickets are included).

Upon arrival you are transferred to your stylish Cape Town hotel boasting uninterrupted views of the ocean. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Day 8: Cape Point & Peninsula Tour

This day is dedicated to an awe-inspiring tour to one of Africa’s most scenic areas - Cape Point and Cape Peninsula. Weather permitting your tour starts with a breathtaking raise to Table Mountain, opening incredible views of the city (cable car fee is included).

Then you travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, stop at a Llandudno look-out point and continue on to Hout Bay - a quaint village and fishing harbor with magnificent mountain views and an idyllic beach.

Optional tour: Boat trip to Seal Island.

Then you proceed down Chapman's Peak that is one of the world's most breathtaking coastal drives, to Cape Point and the Good Hope Nature Reserve boasting magnificent fynbos vegetation and endemic antelope species.

You continue your tour with a visit to a historic Simon's Town where you see a Naval Base and visit the beautiful Boulders Beach to view a large colony of the African Penguin in their natural habitat.

Your tour finishes with a visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens founded in 1913 to preserve the country's unique flora. This garden is famous for being one of the eight National Botanical Gardens encompassing five of South Africa's six different biomes.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 9: Exploring Cape Winelands

Following breakfast you enjoy a full day winelands tour. This delightful drive winds its way to the heart of the Cape Winelands through superb mountain ranges, vineyards and Cape Dutch homesteads.

During the tour you visit the heart of wine industry in South Africa - the city of Stellenbosch, where you walk down its canal-lined avenues, see beautifully preserved historic buildings and enjoy your first wine tasting of the day at the Waterford Estate or similar.

Then you travel over the Helshoogte Pass to the historical town of Franschhoek dating back to the 17th century. Known as the Gourmet Capital of South Africa, this charming town offers excellent wine tasting and dining opportunities, and today you are welcome to make sure of it yourself.

Later you proceed to Paarl - one of the Cape's first farming districts. Your final stop awaits you at a wine estate on the Paarl wine route where you enjoy wine tasting and experience the amazing vineyard.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 10: Free Day in Cape Town

This day is free for you to continue exploring Cape Town attractions and its amazing surroundings that offer some of the most breathtaking experiences in South Africa on your own. Or you may join one of our carefully designed optional tours.

Optional tour #1: Visit to the Bo-Kaap Museum.
Situated in the historic area of Cape Town that became home to many Muslims and freed slaves after the abolition of slavery, the Bo-Kaap is a living cultural museum that boasts of the oldest mosque in the Southern Hemisphere and showcases local Islamic culture and heritage. Its colorful houses, steep cobbled streets, the muezzin’s calls to prayer and children traditionally dressed for Madrassa provide you with a deep insight into the lifestyle and personality of the Cape Muslim community and their contribution to South Africa's development.

Optional tour #2: District Six Museum tour.
The District Six Museum, established in December 1994, revives the notorious time in the history of Cape Town, when 60 000 Capetonian families were forcibly removed from this once vibrant area declared “whites-only zone“ to the city’s periphery known as Cape Flats. The main object of the museum is to provide the space for former inhabitants of District Six to share and rebuild their memories and cultural heritage once again in this area. Museum’s displays include a floor map of District Six on which former residents have labelled where their demolished homes and features of their neighborhood once stood, reconstructions of home interiors and numerous photos and recordings.

Optional tour #3: Trip to Robben Island.
Today you are invited to enjoy a ferry trip to Robben Island, where Nelson Mandela served 18 long years behind the bars of its notoriously famous political prison. This well preserved landmark is a monument to the triumph of freedom, dignity and determination over humiliation and oppression. During your bus tour of the island you explore Nelson Mandela's maximum-security prison cell (Cell 5), see the lime quarries and learn more about South Africa’s history and struggle for freedom. After the tour you are transferred to your hotel.

Day 11: Departure from Cape Town

This is the last day of your amazing South Africa adventure. After breakfast you check out from your hotel and your driver transfers you to the airport for your flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future trips!
