Arrival
Upon arrival, your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel.
The rest of the day is free to start exploring Stockholm attractions on your own, dine in a local restaurant or take a good rest in your comfortable room.
Stockholm City Tour
After breakfast, you meet your guide and enjoy a 3-hour walking city tour around the most interesting attractions of Stockholm.
During the tour you explore the brilliant Old Town of Stockholm, that is one of the biggest and most well-preserved medieval Old Towns in Europe and see the famous Royal Palace, the Stockholm Cathedral, and the City Hall. Transportation is not included, public transport or taxi, if needed, should be paid on spot.
After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free to explore Stockholm on your own or enjoy one of our optional evening recommendations.
Skansen and Vasa Museum
Following breakfast, your guide takes you to the Skansen Museum - the world's first open-air museum founded in 1891, that demonstrates the country's life before the industrial era.
During the tour you take a fascinating journey through the five centuries of Swedish history, see the large collection of traditional rural houses and visit the museum’s zoo that represents about 75 different species of both domestic and wild Scandinavian animals, including brown bears, seals, lynx and wolverines.
Later you walk to the nearby Vasa Museum rated as the most visited museum in entire Scandinavia. This museum is famous for being home to the only intact 17th-century ship in the world - the Vasa. Sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 and salvaged only 333 years later, it managed to preserve more than 95 percent of its body in the original state.
After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free (public transportation is included).
Day Trip to Sigtuna and Uppsala
After breakfast, you meet your guide and driver and have a short ride to the authentic medieval towns of Uppsala and Sigtuna.
During your 6-hour sightseeing tour, you explore all major cultural treasures of these beautiful cities and enjoy their unique atmosphere and amazing charm.
After the tour, you are transferred back to your hotel in Stockholm.
Ferry Trip to Birka
Today prepare for an unforgettable group day tour. After breakfast, you go to the pier where you board a ferry that takes you to an archeological site of the former Viking town Birka (round ferry tickets are included).
Located nearby Stockholm, it is the oldest settlement in Sweden included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Here you can feel like traveling back in time to the Viking Era!
Upon arrival, you enjoy a wonderful guided tour around this beautiful island with a historical landscape, that includes access to the museum and visit to the ancient fields of Birka.
Note: The tour is available from May 10 till September 20.
After the tour you return to Stockholm by ferry.
Departure
After breakfast you check out from your hotel and your driver transfers you to the port for a ferry trip to Sweden's largest island, Gotland, and its UNESCO-listed medieval city of Visby.
Arrival & Visby City Tour
Upon arrival to Visby you are transferred to your hotel to leave your luggage. You then meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go on a 3-hour walking tour around the most interesting attractions of Visby.
During the tour you visit the beautiful Santa Maria Cathedral, take a walk at the Botanical Garden that is one of the most picturesque gardens in Sweden and explore the best preserved medieval city wall in the entire Scandinavia.
After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.
Departure
Following breakfast you check out from your hotel in Visby. You have a quick flight from the local airport to the charming port city - Gothenburg.
You will have a ferry from Visby to Oskarshamn, then you need to walk 2 minutes to the train station to take your train to Kalmar (only 2nd class)
