Denmark Highlights with Faroe Islands

Welcome to the historical "harbor of merchants" and the outstanding capital of Denmark - Copenhagen! Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver, who transfers you to the hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free so you can start exploring the magnificent city center on your own, dine in one of the local restaurants or take a good rest in your comfortable room.

After breakfast at the hotel you meet your private guide in the lobby and go on a breathtaking panoramiс walking city tour of Copenhagen.

First, you proceed to Amalienborg Palace, the home of the Danish Royal family in order to see the Changing of the Guards. Your guide will ensure you have a fine close-up view of the guards.

You then enjoy an easy-paced walk through the center of Copenhagen. You walk to the colorful harbor area of Nyhavn, then into the Kings New Square. After that you head to the center of power in Denmark, Christiansborg, home of the Danish Government. A stroll through the lovely old streets and squares brings you to the Round Tower. 

You may stay in the center of the city after the tour if you wish, or your guide can accompany you on an easy walk back to the hotel.

You have the afternoon at leisure. Alternatively, you can continue exploring the city on your own and visit the impressive Gefion Fountain and the symbol of Copenhagen, the famous Little Mermaid.

Following breakfast in your hotel, you check out and depart from Copenhagen.

Upon arrival, meet your private driver for a hotel transfer, check in to your centrally located hotel, and have the rest of the day at leisure.  

Explore the enchanting Hans Christian Andersen Museum, discovering the life and legacy of the famous fairy tale author. Marvel at the grandeur of Odense Cathedral and its architectural beauty. Finally, delve into the splendid Egeskov Castle, where you'll wander through lush gardens and opulent rooms. Conclude your adventure with a leisurely stroll along Odense Harbor, followed by a guided walk through the city center's charming streets and bustling squares. 

Note: Egeskov’s summer season runs from mid-April to mid-October. The castle is closed during the winter.

Following breakfast in your hotel, you check out, meet your driver and depart from Odense. 

Upon arrival, meet your private driver for a hotel transfer, check in to your centrally located hotel.

Later meet your private guide in the hotel lobby and enjoy private walking tour among famous Aalborg attractions! During 3 hours you see old merchant houses built in the early 17th century along the city's river, as well as Budolfi Cathedral, constructed in 11th century to admire ornaments and sculptures which are hundreds of years old and Aalborg Kloster (The Hospital of the Holy Ghost) - the oldest social institution in Denmark.

Move on to the cobblestoned streets of Old City Center and Hjelmerstald - one of the shortest streets, consisted of only 4 charming houses!

Following breakfast in your hotel, you check out, meet your driver and depart from Aalborg.

Your driver will transfer you to the port, where you will board your ferry to the Faroe Islands.

Highlights of the Faroe Islands tour is a full-day experience that allows you to experience the best of Streymoy and Eysturoy, the two central islands of the Faroes. On this tour, you will get to see the highest waterfall in the Faroe Islands up close, walk the black sands of Tjørnuvík, see the Giant and the Witch sea stacks, hike the Islands highest mountain and visit the uniquely beautiful village of Gjógv.

You depart from Tórshavn early morning to make your way towards Sørvágur to catch the morning ferry to Mykines. Weather permitting, the ferry journey itself offers an extraordinary experience as you pass by the imposing sea stacks of Drangarnir, and the picturesque islands of Tindhólmur and Gáshólmur. Upon arrival, your first stop is at the village café for a brief break and a chance to purchase snacks and drinks.

Depending on the day, your hike may begin by ascending directly from the village to the memorial honoring those lost at sea, or you may opt for an alternate route through the village before ascending northward. Regardless, you will encounter the same sights, albeit in a different order. The hike provides an opportunity to witness the Faroe Islands' largest puffin colony and enjoy breathtaking views of the island, the surrounding sea, and the towering cliffs. You typically return to the village in time for further exploration before catching the ferry back to Sørvágur at 17:05. You can expect to arrive in Tórshavn around 19:00, where we will drop you off at your preferred location.

*Please note, the trail to Lambi and Mykineshólmur is currently closed due to a landslide. However, rest assured, the island offers numerous other magnificent viewpoints and puffin-watching opportunities.

Puffins start leaving the Faroe Islands from mid-August.
