Today is reserved for you to explore and enjoy Florence on your own. After breakfast you can do some independent sightseeing, shop for souvenirs or have a good rest.

Here are the recommended free-time options for you:

  • Uffizi Gallery: You have to see the Uffizi—it's got all the masterpieces. Botticelli, Leonardo, Michelangelo... all here. Give yourself at least a couple of hours to wander through.
  • Mercato Centrale: Skip the ground floor and head directly upstairs to the real food hall where locals eat. Grab fresh pasta, cheeses, cured meats—it's the perfect lunch spot surrounded by Florentines, not other tourists.
  • Oltrarno: Cross the Arno to see Florence the way locals actually live it. Piazza Santo Spirito is the real heart of the city—relaxed and buzzy. Explore the artisan workshops scattered around, then grab an aperitivo as the sun sets. This is the Florence you came for.
