Welcome to Fiè allo Sciliar, a charming village nestled at the foot of the iconic Sciliar Massif in the Dolomites - a perfect starting point for your hiking adventure.
Today, take your time to relax and explore. Wander the village’s quaint streets, visit the historic St. Valentin Church, and savor traditional South Tyrolean specialties at cozy local cafés. If you’re feeling energetic, enjoy a gentle warm-up hike: a 1-hour loop around Lago di Fiè, or a short trail to St. Konstantin Chapel, where you’ll be rewarded with breathtaking mountain views along the way.


Compaccio - Alpe di Siusi Plateau
Your first hiking day begins with a steady ascent through verdant alpine forests before emerging onto the vast, open meadows of the Alpe di Siusi. This is Europe’s largest high-altitude meadow, stretching across gentle rolling hills dotted with traditional alpine farms.
As you make your way to Compaccio, the trail opens up to breathtaking views of the Sciliar massif, whose jagged peaks rise dramatically above the lush green landscape. The combination of sweeping meadows, rustic farmhouses, and awe-inspiring mountain scenery makes every step a feast for the senses.
Once in Compaccio, take a moment to soak in the panoramic vistas and the serene atmosphere of the plateau - a perfect spot to rest and enjoy the alpine surroundings.

Reaching Compaccio
Today, you reach Compaccio — the heart of the Alpe di Siusi plateau, cradled high in the Dolomites. Rolling alpine meadows stretch out beneath the jagged peaks of the Sciliar and Sassolungo groups, creating one of the most breathtaking panoramas in South Tyrol. Your hotel awaits - a place to settle into comfort, take in the sweeping views, and let the calm of the high-mountain landscape wash over you after a rewarding day on the trail.

Tierser Alpljoch - Sciliar-Catinaccio Nature Park
After spending the night on the Alpe di Siusi, the hike continues across wide alpine meadows filled with wildflowers and the sound of marmots calling in the distance. Following trails 9 and 10, the route gently climbs along the Panorama Trail, offering open views of rolling ridges and the jagged Dolomite cliffs above.
As you gain height, the landscape becomes rockier and wilder, with sweeping views in every direction. The trail finally leads to the Tierser Alpl Hut (Rifugio Alpe di Tires), beautifully set in a high mountain saddle - a perfect place to rest and enjoy the quiet of the high Alps.

Reaching the Tierser Alpl Hut

Selva di Val Gardena
Today’s hike takes you from the Tierser Alpl Hut down toward Selva di Val Gardena. The trail begins with a gentle descent via the Sella Pass, offering spectacular views of the Sasso Lungo group and the surrounding Dolomites.
From the pass, you can continue on foot or take the chairlift down if you prefer an easier descent. The route then winds through peaceful alpine forests and meadows before reaching the charming village of Selva di Val Gardena, with panoramic views of the Val Gardena valley along the way.

Reaching Selva di Val Gardena

Colfosco and Gardena Pass
Today’s hike leads you from Selva di Val Gardena up toward the Gardena Pass. The Gardena Pass is a 2,121 m Dolomite pass linking Val Gardena and Val Badia. Running from Selva to Colfosco, it offers stunning views of the Sella Group, Cir Peaks, Sassolungo, and the Val Badia peaks. From the pass, the trail descends gradually toward Colfosco, passing more meadows and high-altitude scenery along the way.

Reaching Colfosco

Today’s hike is a gentle 5 km walk from Colfosco to Corvara, following an easy panoramic trail that connects these two charming Ladin villages. The route winds through meadows and alpine farms, with the dramatic Sella and Sassongher peaks providing a stunning backdrop.
