Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Barcelona

Welcome to Barcelona - the lively capital of Catalonia and one of the most beautiful cities in the world! Your driver meets you at the exit gates of the airport holding a sign with your name on it and transfers you to your centrally located hotel.

The rest of the day is free so you can either explore the fantastic center of Barcelona on your own, dine in one of the local restaurants or take a good rest before the rich sightseeing program planned for the following day.

Day 2: Tour of Barcelona Old Town

After breakfast you meet your private guide at the hotel lobby and go on a wonderful walking tour around the most outstanding attractions of Barcelona Old Town.

During the tour you walk through the maze of old narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter, go inside the Barcelona Cathedral, pass through the former Jewish District, St. Jaume Square and Square of the King, see the Generalitat Palace, the City Hall and the former Royal Palace (from the outside), and explore the Ribera Shore District where you see the Santa María del Mar Church.

The tour finishes on the most vivid street in Barcelona La Rambla, abundant in modern shops, arts and crafts stalls and numerous open air cafes and restaurants, where you can take some rest and enjoy the bustling life of Barcelona.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 3: Visiting Sagrada Familia & Train to Valencia

Following breakfast you meet your private guide and driver and enjoy a fantastic sightseeing tour dedicated to the world-famous Sagrada Familia Basilica - the most brilliant masterpiece of Gaudi that is rightfully considered the most recognizable symbol of Barcelona.

After the tour you get to the train station where you board a high speed train to Valencia (train tickets are included). Upon arrival your driver meets you at the train station and transfers you to your centrally located hotel.

Day 4: Exploring Valencia Old Town

After breakfast you meet your private guide at the hotel lobby and go on a 3-hour walking tour of the Old Town of Valencia.

During the tour you visit the Iglesia de San Juan del Hospital - the Valencia's oldest church dating back to the XIIIth century, the City Gates and a UNESCO Heritage site Lonja de Seda (the Silk Exchange). One of the highlights of your tour is a tasting of local delicacies at the Central Market.

After the tour you return to your downtown hotel and have the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 5: Tour of the Futuristic City of Arts & Science

Following breakfast you check out from your hotel and enjoy a guided tour of the famous City of Arts and Science, that is one of the most impressive futuristic complexes in the world!

This scientific and cultural leisure complex covering around two kilometers of the former riverbed of the River Turia has been included on the list of 12 Treasures of Spain along other highlights you visit on your tour. 

In the afternoon you take a high speed train on to Madrid. Upon arrival driver meets you at the train station and takes you to your downtown hotel. 

Breakfast is included.

 

Day 6: Exploring Madrid Historic Must-Sees

Following breakfast you meet your guide and enjoy a fascinating sightseeing tour around the most brilliant attractions of Madrid de los Austrias - the amazing old town of the Spanish capital that treasures historical monuments dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries when Spain was ruled by the House of the Hapsburgh. 

During the tour you take a walk around Plaza de Oriente, enter the gorgeous Royal Palace called Palacio Real, see the beautiful exteriors of the Catedral Nuestra Señora de la Almudena and stroll through Major Street. 

You then proceed to Plaza de la Villa, stop by St. Michel's Market and walk down the picturesque Cava de San Miguel. Your tour finishes at iconic Plaza Mayor and breathtaking Puerta del Sol.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 7: Day Trip to Toledo

This day is devoted to the exploration of Toledo - the former capital of Spain and one of the oldest towns in Europe. Following breakfast you go to the train station and enjoy a 30-minute train ride to Toledo (train tickets to and from Toledo are included). 

Upon arrival you meet your guide at the train station and have a fascinating city tour around the most interesting landmarks of Toledo. 

During the tour you walk through the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, explore the fortified city walls and see the famous UNESCO World Heritage-listed medieval architecture, including the 13th-century Cathedral of Toledo and Sinagogue (entrances included).

After the tour you return to Madrid by train and have the rest of the evening at your own leisure.

Day 8: Madrid of the Bourbons Tour & Visit to the Prado Museum

Enjoy your last breakfast in Madrid and prepare to check out from your hotel. Your guide meets you and takes you on a walking tour to discover Madrid of the Bourbons - the historical area around the Prado Museum.

During the tour you pass the Parque del Retiro, Puerta de Alcalá, Plaza Cibeles, and three monumental fountains: Cibeles, Apolo and Neptuno. Next you proceed to the Spanish Parliament building, see the Atocha train station and explore the area of the Golden Triangle of Art made up of three most important art museums of Madrid - the Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemitza and the Reina Sofia.

The highlight of the tour is a visit to one of the world's greatest art galleries and Madrid's top cultural sight - the Prado Museum. This venue houses a unique collection of Spanish fine art displayed in the halls and rooms of this 18th-century Neo-Classical building. You see the most significant gems of the museum’s collection, including the famous masterpieces of El Greco, Velazquez, Goya, Raphael and Rubens.

After the tour you have some free time before you are accompanied to the rail station for a 2-hour high speed train ride to Cordoba (train tickets are included). Upon arrival you are transferred to your downtown hotel for overnight.

Day 9: Exploring Cordoba Highlights & Transfer to Granada

Following breakfast you check out from your hotel and enjoy a 3-hour guided tour around the most outstanding sights of Cordoba that used to be the largest city of Roman Spain. 

During the tour you see the beautiful Roman Bridge, the famous 14th-century Royal Castle - Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, and the Great Mosque of Cordoba that is the oldest mosque in Europe.

After lunch in a local restaurant you are taken to the bus station for your transfer to Granada - a picturesque city located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains. Upon arrival to the bus station you are transferred for check in to your downtown hotel. You have some time at your leisure to prepare for one of the highlights of your trip - visit to Flamenco performance in caves. 

Included evening activity:

Granada's famous variation of traditional Flamenco dance is called Zambra. Visit one of the famous Sacromonte caves to witness this passionate performance where the dancer is also singing!

Day 10: Visiting the Alhambra of Granada

In the morning after breakfast your guide takes you on a wonderful sightseeing tour of Granada, known as the last stronghold of the Moors in Western Europe full of numerous historical sights and medieval architecture.

During the tour you see the main treasures of Granada including one of Spain's most visited attractions - the Alhambra Fortress that used to be the residence of the Muslim rulers and their court. Get awe-inspired by its numerous arabesques, porticos, pools and Islamic ornamental masterpieces of its hallways.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 11: Seville Sightseeing Tour & Visiting the Alcazar

After breakfast you check out from your hotel and catch a comfortable train to Seville (train tickets are included). Upon arrival you are accompanied to your downtown hotel to leave your luggage. 

You then meet your guide at hotel lobby and enjoy a panoramic city tour of Seville to experience authentic Andalusian spirit in one of its most important cities. 

Your sightseeing program features top sights, including the symbol of the city - the Giralda Tower, the Seville Cathedral and the Real Alcazar of Seville the oldest European royal residence composed of a group of buildings from different time periods (entrances included). 

Your tour finishes at a scenic Plaza de Espana - a dazzling palace complex dating back to the epoch of Renaissance and considered to be among the most beautiful complexes of its kind in the world.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 12: Departure from Seville

This is the final day of your amazing journey around highlights of Central Spain and Andalusia! After breakfast your driver transfers you to the airport for your flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future trips!
