Day-by-Day

Day 1
 Arrival in Copenhagen

Welcome to the historical "harbor of merchants" and the outstanding capital of Denmark - Copenhagen! Your private driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free so you can start exploring the magnificent city center on your own, dine in one of the local restaurants or take a good rest in your comfortable room.

Optional extension: You can extend your tour to Iceland. Contact your travel specialist for more details.

Day 2
Copenhagen City Tour

After breakfast, you meet your guide and enjoy a panoramic walking tour of Copenhagen.

During the tour, you walk through the beautiful canal district, enjoy the views of the City Hall and Christiansborg Palace that is home to the Danish Parliament, stroll across Kongens Nytorv and see the buildings of the Old Stock Exchange and the Royal Theater (no entrances included).

The highlight of the tour is a visit to the colorful harbor of Nyhavn where you see the gorgeous Amalienborg Palace - the winter residence of the Royal Family (from the outside). Then you proceed to the Rosenborg Castle where you witness the famous Changing of the Royal Guard ceremony.

This day is crowned with a visit to the Gefion Fountain and the symbol of Copenhagen - the world-famous Little Mermaid statue, inspired by a H. C. Andersen's fairy tale.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 3
Free Day in Copenhagen

This day is free for you to continue exploring fantastic Copenhagen attractions on your own or take our carefully designed optional day tour.

If you prefer to spend the whole day in Copenhagen we recommend having a tour at Carlsberg Brewery to get closer to the roots of Carlsberg and the history of beer or to visit Tivoli Gardens.

  • Optional tour #1: Trip to Roskilde
    Take a morning train to Roskilde located on the Danish island of Zealand (transfer to the train station is not included).
  • Optional tour #2: Tivoli Gardens
    Spend a remarkable day in the Tivoli Gardens - Denmark's oldest and best-known theme park. The park has thrilled kids and adults of all ages since it opened its gates in Copenhagen in 1843.

Day 4
Train to Odense & City Tour

After breakfast, you check out from your hotel and have a transfer to the railway station where you board a train to Odense - the birthplace of the famous Danish fairytale writer Hans Christian Andersen.

Upon arrival to Odense, you go to your hotel to leave your luggage. Transfer to the train station is not included. You can book a taxi or take a public transport. Private transfer is available on request.

Later you meet your private guide and enjoy a 3-hour walking tour around this beautiful city that offers numerous historic attractions from Viking castles to ancient churches and notable museums.

The highlight of the tour is a visit to the Hans Christian Andersen Museum where you learn more about the writer’s life, artistic career, and his many journeys.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

  • Recommended evening activity: Beer tasting at a local brewery.

Day 5
Train to Esbjerg & Sightseeing

Following breakfast, you check out from your hotel and go to the railway station where you board a train that takes you to a seaport town of Esbjerg. Transfers to and from the train station are not included. You can book a taxi or take a public transport. Private transfer is available on request.

Upon arrival, you go to your hotel to leave your luggage and then enjoy a 4-hour guided walking city tour around the most interesting Esbjerg attractions.

During the tour you visit the Fisheries and Maritime Museum, see a 30-feet tall Men at Sea Monument and enjoy bird and deer watching at the captivating Vognbol Park.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 6
Train to Aarhus & City Tour

After breakfast you check out from your hotel and go to the railway station where you board a train that takes you to the second largest city of Denmark - Aarhus. Transfers to and from the train station are not included. You can book a taxi or take a public transport. Private transfer is available on request.

Upon arrival, you go to your hotel to leave your luggage and then enjoy a 3-hour guided walking city tour around the most outstanding attractions of Aarhus.

During the tour, you visit the famous Den Gamle By - an open-air Old Town Museum of Urban History and Culture that is a breathing experience of what it was like to live and work in a Danish market town, as it was in the old days. You have the unique chance to stroll through its cozy streets of the 1700s, 1800s and the 1900s, see the collection of more than 75 houses from all over Denmark and explore the homes, courtyards, and shops as they might have looked in Hans Christian Andersen’s days.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 7
Departure from Copenhagen

This is the last day of your amazing Danish adventure! After breakfast, you check out from your hotel and walk to the station where you take a train right to the Copenhagen airport.

Upon arrival to Copenhagen, you take your flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future trips!
