Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Stockholm

Welcome to Stockholm - the capital of Sweden and its largest city! This is the first day of your magnificent private journey to the land of the Vikings.

Premium package: transfer from the airport to the hotel is included. Your driver meets you at the airport.

Classic package: transfer from the airport is not included. You can use fast and convenient train service to get to the city center from Arlanda airport. Private transfer is available on request.

Once you check-in your centrally located hotel, you meet with your professional guide in the lobby to go on a 3-hour panoramic city tour around the most interesting Stockholm attractions.

Premium package: Transfer is included.

Classic package: Transfer is not included. Public transport or private transfer if needed should be paid on spot.

During the tour you explore the brilliant Old Town of Stockholm, that is one of the biggest and most well-preserved medieval Old Towns in Europe and see the famous Royal Palace, the Stockholm Cathedral and the City Hall (no entrances included). After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free to explore Stockholm on your own or enjoy one of our optional evening recommendations.

Optional tour: Visit to the Royal Palace - the official residence of His Majesty the King of Sweden, & visit to the City Hall - one of Sweden’s most famous buildings where all Nobel Prizes except the Nobel Peace Prize are given and recieved.

Optional evening activity: Opera performance at the Drottningholm Palace Theater or the Royal Opera House. Transfer is included. 

Recommended dinner: Dinner at a specialized Viking restaurant Aifur with authentic atmosphere and menu. Contact your specialist for table reservations.

Day 2: Skansen and Vasa Museum

Following breakfast your driver takes you to the Skansen Museum - the world's first open-air museum founded in 1891, that demonstrates the country's life before the industrial era. During the tour you take a fascinating journey through the five centuries of Swedish history, see the large collection of traditional rural houses and visit the museum’s zoo that represents about 75 different species of both domestic and wild Scandinavian animals, including brown bears, seals, lynx and wolverines.

Later you walk to the nearby Vasa Museum rated as the most visited museum in entire Scandinavia. This museum is famous for being home to the only intact 17th-century ship in the world - the Vasa. Sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 and salvaged only 333 years later, it managed to preserve more than 95 percent of its body in original state.

Premium package: transfers to and from the museums are included.

Classic package: transfers are not included. The museums can be reached by public transport or taxi. Transportation should be payed on the spot.

Optional lunch: A sumptuous lunch next to the 17th century ship cooked from local ingredients is something you won't forget. Contact us to book a table at Vasa Museum restaurant.

Optional activity: Historical Canal tour on the tourist public boat with a guide.

Evening recommendation: A great evening option is visiting Stockholm's unique Ice bar. Everything starting from the bar tables, decorations and even the glasses are made of ice, providing guests with a unique experience and an opportunity to "chill". Contact us for reservations and availability.

Day 3: Free day in Stockholm - optional or heritage activities

Enjoy a delicious breakfast in the morning.

Premium package: Day trip to Sigtuna & Uppsala. Meet your guide and driver in the lobby and take a short ride to the authentic medieval towns of Uppsala & Sigtuna to enjoy special charm of these places. During your 6-hour sightseeing tour you explore all major cultural treasures of these beautiful cities. After the tour you are transferred back to your hotel on Stockholm.

Classic package: This day is free for you to enjoy the best Stockholm has to offer on your own. Take a walk along its cobbled streets, explore the beautiful Old Town, dine in a local restaurant or enjoy our carefully planned optional tour to Sigtuna and Uppsala. Contact us for booking.

Day 4: Ferry Trip to Birka

Today prepare for an unforgettable group day tour. After breakfast you go to the quay (easily accessible on foot) where you board a ferry that takes you to an archaeological site of the former Viking town of Birka (round ferry tickets are included).

Located nearby Stockholm, it is the oldest settlement in Sweden included in the UNESCO World Heritage list. Here you can feel like traveling back in time to the Viking Era!

Upon arrival you enjoy a wonderful guided tour around this beautiful island with a historical landscape, that includes access to the museum and visit to the ancient fields of Birka.

Note: The tour is available from May 10 till September 20.

After the tour you return to Stockholm by ferry.

Day 5: Trip to Visby

After breakfast you check out from your hotel. Prepare for an amazing ferry trip to Sweden's largest island, Gotland, and its UNESCO-listed medieval city of Visby (ferry tickets are included).

Premium package: Transfer to the port is included. Your driver meets you in the lobby. 

Upon arrival to Visby you are transferred to your hotel for check-in. 

Classic package: Transfer to the port is not included. You can book a taxi or use public transport. Private transfer is available on request.

Upon arrival to Visby you go to your hotel for check-in (20-minute walk from the pier). The rest of the day is free for you to explore this magnificent city on your own.

Premium package: After check-in meet your guide and enjoy a 3-hour walking city tour of the beautiful medieval surroundings of Visby. During the tour you visit the beautiful Santa Maria Cathedral, take a walk at the Botanical Garden that is one of the most picturesque gardens in Sweden and explore the best preserved medieval city wall in the entire Scandinavia. After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. 

Classic package: the 3-hour walking city tour of Visby is not included and should be booked separately.

Day 6: Gothenburg

Following breakfast you check out from your hotel in Visby. You have a quick flight from the local airport (flight duration: 30 minutes) to the charming port city - Gothenburg (flight tickets are included).

Premium package: Your driver transfers you to the local airport and upon arrival your driver transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

Classic package: Transfers to and from the airport are not included. Upon arrival you go to your centrally located hotel for check-in. You can book a taxi or use public transport. Private transfer is available on request.

After having some rest you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go on a 3-hour sightseeing tour around the most famous Gothenburg attractions.

During the tour you explore the old Haga district, visit the famous Fish Market, see the modern Opera House and the Maritime Center (no entrances included) and take a walk at the famous Avenue abundant in cozy restaurants, cafes and pubs.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 7: Trip to Malmo & Free day for optional or heritage activities

After breakfast you check out from your hotel and walk to the train station where you board a train that takes you to Sweden’s third-largest city - Malmo (train tickets are included). Upon arrival you get to your hotel for check-in.

Premium package: Your driver transfers you to the hotel.

Classic package: Transfer to the hotel is not included. You walk to the hotel (easily accessible on foot).

The rest of the day is free for you to start exploring one of the most advanced cities in Scandinavia on your own. Malmo is a relatively small city but is growing very fast and is listed among the most advanced cities in Scandinavia. An abundance of local attractions and dining options won't disappoint even the most discerned travelers.

Recommended evening activity: Visit to the Lilla Torg. This marketplace is a popular local meeting point and one of the coziest places in the city, offering a wide variety of restaurants and cafes.

Day 8: Malmo Walking Tour

Following breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go on a 3-hour walking city tour of Malmö that provides you with a great opportunity to experience the best this city has to offer.

Malmo is thought to have been founded in 1275 as a fortified quay or ferry berth of the Archbishop of Lund, some 20 kilometers (12 miles) to the north-east. It has been Denmark's second-biggest city for centuries. Its original name was Malmhaug (with alternate spellings), meaning "Gravel pile" or "Ore Hill". In the 15th century it became one of Denmark's largest and most often visited cities, reaching a population of approximately 5,000 inhabitants. It became the most important city around the Øresund, with the German Hanseatic League frequenting it as a marketplace, and was notable for its flourishing herring fishery.

During the tour you explore the beautiful Old Town with its iconic Stortoget Square, visit the modern cultural neighborhood Möllevången, enjoy the views of the legendary Öresund Bridge that connects Denmark and Sweden, and see one of Scandinavia’s tallest skyscrapers - the Turning Torso.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 9: Departure from Stockholm or Copenhagen

This is the last day of your amazing Sweden adventure! After breakfast you check out from your hotel and have a train to Stockholm (train tickets are included).

Premium package: Transfer train station-airport in Stockholm is included. Upon arrival to Stockholm your driver takes you to the airport for your flight back home.

Classic package: Transfers to the train station and the airport are not included. You can book a taxi or use public transport. Private transfer is available on request.
