Itinerary

Day 1:  Arrival in Tbilisi

Welcome to Tbilisi - the fantastic capital of Georgia! Your private driver meets you at the exit gates of the airport holding a sign with your name on it and takes you to your remarkable hotel located in the city center.

After check-in you enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 2:  Tbilisi City Tour

After breakfast at your hotel you meet your private guide and head for a wonderful Tbilisi sightseeing tour. You visit the Metekhi Church, Narikala Fortress, ancient Sioni Cathedral, Abanotubani sulfur baths - a historic place, where the hot springs were once discovered, thus leading to founding of a new capital, enjoy breathtaking panoramic views over the Mtkvari (Kura) River and take a walk around the pedestrian street Sharden. 

After lunch at one of the local restaurants with traditional cuisine you proceed to the Museum of Arts and History.

In the evening you enjoy Welcome dinner in a restaurant accompanied with Georgian national dances and songs. After dinner you return to your hotel.

Day 3:  Mtskheta, Ananuri & Kazbegi Tour

After breakfast you check-out from the hotel and go to Mtskheta - an old capital of Iberia kingdom. You visit the Jvari Monastery (Monastery of the Cross in Georgian) nestled on a hill at the confluence of the Mtkvari and Aragvi rivers and the 11th-century Svetitskhoveli Cathedral (Life-giving Pillar in Georgian). You have some free time to buy national handmade souvenirs and presents for your friends. 

After lunch at a local restaurant your driver takes you to Kazbegi. You have a great opportunity to visit the famous Ananuri Castle with picturesque views over Zhinvali Reservoir and cross one of the world’s most beautiful roads, Georgian Military Highway, along your way. After arriving in Kazbegi you trek to the Gergeti Trinity Church located at an elevation of 2170 meters (you can avoid trekking by using 4x4 cars for additional cost).

After dinner your driver transfers you to your hotel.

Day 4:  Visit of Gori & Uplistsikhe Cave

After breakfast at the hotel you are transferred to Gori where you visit the Museum of Joseph Stalin. Then you proceed to Uplistsikhe Cave Town that contains various ancient structures and grape stones dated back to 5000 years ago, a statement that Georgia is the oldest wine producing region.

After dinner at a local restaurant with traditional cuisine your driver takes you to Tbilisi for hotel accommodation.

Day 5:  Tour of the Kakheti Region

After breakfast at the hotel your driver takes you to the most famous Georgian wine region - Kakheti. You visit a cave monastery complex David Gareja located close to the Azerbaijani border. 

After lunch you proceed to Sighnaghi to walk around its old streets and enjoy panoramic views over the Alazani Valley and the picturesque Caucasus mountains. Then you visit the Bodbe Monastery of St. Nino, have dinner at a local restaurant and arrive in Telavi for overnight at the hotel.

Day 6:  Tour of the Kakheti Region

After breakfast at your hotel you continue explore the Kakheti region. First of all your driver takes you to Tsinandali - a family estate, museum, vinery. Then you visit a 16th-century royal citadel Gremi and the Nekresi monastery complex. 

After lunch at a local restaurant you cross the Georgian - Azerbaijanian border and arrive in Sheki - one of the oldest cities and cultural centers of the country.

After dinner you are transferred to your hotel for check in.

Day 7:  Visit of Sheki, Kish & Shamakhi

After breakfast at your hotel you meet your private guide and have a Sheki sightseeing tour. You visit the Upper Town, the magnificent Palace of Sheki Khans and the Craft Museum. 

Following the tour you move to a small village of Kish to enjoy a wonderful panorama of the ruins of an ancient Albanian church and the surrounding nature. 

After lunch you proceed to Shamakhi, a former residence of the Shirvan Shahs, visiting the Mausoleum of Diri Baba along your way. In Shamakhi you visit its museum of seven domes and a mosque.

After dinner you are transferred to Baku for overnight.

Day 8:  Visit of the Absheron Peninsula & Baku City Tour

After breakfast at your hotel you move to the Absheron peninsula to visit its famous Temple of Fire Worshippers. Then you continue your tour in the Palace of Shirvan Shahs

After lunch your driver takes you to Baku to enjoy your guided city tour. 

Following dinner at a local restaurant you are transferred to your hotel.

Day 9:  Tour of Baku & Gobustan

After breakfast at your hotel your driver transfers you to Gobustan, where you visit the Museum of Gobustan and explore one of the most unique natural phenomena of Azerbaijan mud volcanoes. 

After lunch you return to Baku and enjoy free time at your leisure. In the evening you enjoy dinner at a local restaurant with traditional cuisine accompanied with folk show.

After dinner you return to your hotel.

Day 10:  Departure from Baku

This is the final day of your fantastic tour. After breakfast your driver meets you at the hotel lobby and takes you to the airport for your flight back home. We hope you enjoyed charming cities of Georgia and Azerbaijan and one day will return here to see the beauty of the Caucasus again!
