And for the perfect Sicilian treat? Indulge in a tasting session at a local pasticceria — think crispy cannoli, rich cassata, almond pastries, and all the flavours that make Sicily unforgettable.

Today, you explore Palermo’s rich, layered history. Meet your guide and start with the majestic Norman Palace and its dazzling golden-mosaicked Palatine Chapel — a true jewel of medieval Sicily.
Then stroll through the historic centre: pass by leafy Villa Bonanno, admire the exterior of the city cathedral, and wander through streets where Arab, Norman, and Mediterranean cultures meet. See the “Four Corners,” enjoy the turquoise splash of the Tuscan Fountain in Piazza Pretoria, and discover two unique Arabo-Norman churches: La Martorana and San Cataldo.
After the tour, you’ll have free time to soak in Palermo’s atmosphere — maybe grab a street-food bite, wander local markets, or simply wander and discover.

Departure to Syracuse – Temples, Cliffs & Coastal Wonders
After breakfast, check out of your hotel in Palermo and begin your journey south toward Agrigento for a day filled with ancient history and dramatic scenery.
Agrigento, Valley of the Temples & Scala dei Turchi
Your exploration starts with Agrigento’s star attraction: the magnificent Valley of the Temples, a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of the greatest treasures of the ancient Greek world. Walk among majestic ruins and continue to the remarkably preserved Temple of Concordia — one of the best-kept classical temples anywhere and a true symbol of Sicily.
After soaking up centuries of history, enjoy a delicious lunch at a local restaurant — the perfect break before nature’s showcase.
Next, head toward the seaside to see the stunning Scala dei Turchi cliffs. This dazzling white limestone formation, shaped naturally into sweeping “steps,” rises about 50 meters above the sea. Its brilliant colour against the turquoise water makes it look almost sculpted by hand, and its gentle slope invites you to walk along this extraordinary natural terrace.
With ancient temples and coastal panoramas behind you, continue your journey toward beautiful Syracuse.

Syracuse Sightseeing – Ancient Drama, Island Charm & UNESCO Glory

Begin your day in the legendary Neapolis Archaeological Park, one of the world’s most important ancient sites. Explore the still-active Greek Theatre, marvel at the acoustics inside the Ear of Dionysius, and walk through the impressive Roman Amphitheater. Each corner of the park reveals a new chapter of Syracuse’s powerful past.
Continue to the enchanting island of Ortygia, the heart of the historic city. Here you enjoy an inside visit to the stunning Duomo, where the remains of an ancient Greek Doric temple are still part of the cathedral’s structure — one of the many reasons it proudly stands on the UNESCO World Heritage list.

Day Trip to Mount Etna with Wine Tasting & Lunch – Fire, Craters & Sicilian Flavours
Meet your private driver in the morning and set off toward one of Sicily’s most iconic landmarks — Mount Etna, the highest active volcano in Europe and a symbol of the island’s raw natural power.
Your first stop is Rifugio Sapienza on the southern slope, sitting 2,000 meters (6,562 feet) above sea level. From here, take a walk among the fascinating “Silvestri” craters and explore the dramatic lava fields created by the 2001–2003 eruptions. The landscape feels almost lunar — silent, rugged, and unforgettable.
After your volcanic adventure, descend through the foothills to a local winery where you enjoy a tasting of Etna wines, shaped by the rich volcanic soil and unique microclimate of the region.
Following the tasting, relax on your transfer back to your hotel in Taormina.
Please note: due to weather and fog, views of Mount Etna may be limited.
