Welcome to charming Portugal! You arrive in the romantic city of Porto, and your driver meets you at the airport to transfer you to Braga. You check in your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure to start exploring the city on your own.

After breakfast, you have a transfer to Porto for a walking tour of the city's main landmarks. Nestled on the banks of the Douro river in northern Portugal, Porto boasts one of the most ancient town centers in Europ, listed as a UNESCO World Heritage Site.

During the tour you admire the most iconic city monuments, including the railway station of Sao Bento, the Porto Cathedral, the Clerigos Church in Baroque style and Luis I Bridge.

In the afternoon you explore the modern district of the city called Boavista and its magnificent “Casa da Musica”. The next in your list is a guided visit to a traditional wine cellar and wine tasting (2 drinks per person included).

As a highlight, you also enjoy 1-hour cruise on the River Douro aboard a traditional boat. You experience the panoramic views of the surrounding hills and at the red-tiled rooftops of the medieval houses, as well as the famous bridges of Porto.

After the tour, you return to Braga.

After breakfast, you have a 20-minute transfer to Bom Jesus do Monte funicular that is the first funicular of the Iberian Peninsula. You enjoy the scenic ride that is a just perfect way to see the wonderful Bom Jesus Sanctuary. The descent of the mount (580 steps) is done on foot.

Next, you return to the capital of the region, the ancient city of Braga, where you have a walking tour, including a visit to the famous 11-century Braga Cathedral.

You then take a trip to the cradle of Portugal, the medieval city of Guimaraes, where you explore its UNESCO-listed Old Town. After the sightseeing tour, your driver takes you back to your hotel in Braga. The rest of the day is free.

Following breakfast, you meet your guide and embark on a full-day tour to the breathtaking Douro Valley Wine Region, a famous UNESCO Heritage Site recognized as the best river destination of Europe.

The day starts at Pinhao with an excellent view over the Douro River. You have a walking tour around the vineyards of the Quinta and enjoy the glorious views of the river. You also have lunch at a restaurant with local gastronomy.

After lunch, you explore the famous train station in the region. To finish the day, you visit a wine estate and taste the famous Port wine (2 wines included).

In the evening you return to Braga.

Today you set off on a scenic day tour around the scenic Portugal countryside. The route passes picturesque mountain and rural areas as well as charming villages. First, you have a 1-hour ride north to the medieval village of Sistelo.

This wonderful village with about three hundred inhabitants charms its visitors with the unique placatory atmosphere.

After Sistelo you continue with a guided walking tour in the Vez Ecovia, an incredible path, where you admire wooden walkways, Roman roads, crystal-clear lagoons, majestic mountains, and native flora and fauna. 

After the tour, you return to Braga.

Today's hiking experience is dedicated to the Portuguese Way which are the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage routes starting in Portugal. During the half-day tour, you enjoy a beautiful walk on the beach to enjoy the landscape, learn about the fisher community of Povoa de Varzim, and smell the sea air.

After the tour, you return to Braga and have the rest of the day at leisure.
