Welcome to the lively capital of Catalonia - Barcelona! Your driver meets you at the exit gates of the airport holding a sign with your name on it and transfers you to your centrally located hotel.

The rest of the day is free so you can either explore the fantastic center of Barcelona on your own, dine in one of the local restaurants or take a good rest before the rich sightseeing program planned for the following day.

After breakfast, your guide meets you in a hotel lobby and takes you on a wonderful panoramic half-day tour around the most outstanding attractions of Barcelona. Barcelona obtains one of the biggest and architecturally diverse Medieval districts in Europe. During the city tour, you get to see Barcelona's Old Town called "Casc Antic" and its medieval landmarks. 

Your tour begins with a walk through the maze of old narrow streets of the Gothic Quarter that was formed around the Roman forum. Then you see the Barcelona Cathedral both from the outside and the inside, pass the former Jewish District "Call", the Sant Jaume Square, see the Generalitat Palace and City Hall from the outside, pass the Square of the King and the former Royal Palace.

You then proceed to the Ribera shore district where you see the Santa María del Mar church - the former residence of sailors, traders, and craftsmen who lived and worked there in the Middle Ages. The tour finishes on the most vivid street in Barcelona La Rambla, where you can take a rest at one of the open-air terraces. 

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

  • Optional tour #1: Gaudi Heritage Tour
    Enjoy a fantastic half-day tour dedicated to the world-renowned architectural works of Antonio Gaudi. During the tour, you get to see his astonishing creations and find out some facts about his one-of-a-kind construction techniques and his life story. You start with a visit to the astonishing Sagrada Familia Cathedral that he worked on for 43 years. Then on to the colorful Park Guell, where you spend some time strolling through its mosaic paths, taking in the great city views and fairytale-like atmosphere. Today you also see the beautiful Batlló House and Milà House with modernist designs and futuristic shapes.
  • Optional tour #2: Trip to the Montserrat Monastery
    After breakfast, you enjoy a full day trip to the Montserrat - the picturesque multi-peaked mountain in the middle of Spain’s first national park. During the tour, you visit the Monastery of Santa Maria de Montserrat, learn more about the history of the region, take a walk through the beautiful park and enjoy excellent views toward Barcelona. After the tour, you are transferred back to your hotel in Barcelona.
  • Optional tour #3: Camp Nou Tour & Museum
    This tour takes you behind the scenes of the Camp Nou - the biggest football stadium in Europe. During the tour, you retrace the footsteps of the FC Barcelona football legends visiting the changing room and walking through the players tunnel onto the stadium. Then you visit the presidential and press boxes and see the FC Barcelona documentaries in the multi-media zone. You finish the tour with a visit to the FC Barcelona Museum, where you learn about the history of the club and see its well-deserved La Liga and Champions League trophies. Note: This tour is unavailable on match days at the Camp Nou stadium. We can also book football match tickets, if any matches are held during your stay in Barcelona.

After breakfast, you check out from your Barcelona hotel and your driver transfers you to the railway station where you board a high-speed train to Madrid (1st class train tickets are included).

Upon arrival, you are transferred to your centrally located hotel to leave your luggage. You then meet your guide and enjoy a fascinating sightseeing tour around the most brilliant attractions of Madrid de los Austrias - the amazing old town that treasures historical monuments dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries when Spain was ruled by the House of the Habsburg.

During the tour, you take a walk around Plaza de Oriente, enter the gorgeous Royal Palace called Palacio Real, see the beautiful exteriors of the Catedral Nuestra Señora de la Almudena and stroll through Major Street.

Then you proceed to Plaza de la Villa, stop by St. Michel's Market and walk down the picturesque Cava de San Miguel. Your tour finishes at iconic Plaza Mayor and breathtaking Puerta del Sol.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

  • Optional tour #1: Visiting the Prado Museum
    Today you have the chance go to one of the world's greatest art galleries and Madrid's top cultural sight - the Prado Museum. It houses its unique collection of fine art at the numerous halls and rooms of the 18th-century Neo-Classical building. During the tour, your guide shows you the most significant gems of the museum’s collection, including the famous masterpieces of El Greco, Velazquez, Goya, Raphael and Rubens.
  • Optional tour #2: Attending a Corrida
    La Plaza de Toros de Las Ventas del Espíritu Santo is Madrid's main bullring and home to Spanish bullfighting called corrida.The bullfight season runs from March to October and the thrilling events, featuring matadores wearing suits braided in gold and furious bulls, are held every Sunday at 7 p.m. The heart-thumping bullfight usually lasts about 2 hours, yet there is no fixed time limit. Nevertheless, May and June are the best months to go on a corrida in the Spanish capital as during this time the world famous San Isidro bullfight festival when fights are held 20 days in a row. During the festival, you may see various styles of corrida fights including those with young bulls or bullfights on horseback. Note: tour availability depends on the corrida schedule.
  • Optional tour #3: Trip to Toledo
    Toledo is a small fortified town and one of the most important centers of European medieval history known as the “city of the three cultures” because of the historical co-existence of Christian, Muslim, and Jewish cultures. Toledo is also one of the Spanish cities with the greatest wealth of monuments. During the tour, you walk through its cobblestone streets, explore the fortified city walls and see the famous UNESCO World Heritage-listed medieval architecture, including the 13th-century Cathedral of Toledo and Synagogue (entrances included).

Exploring the Highlights of Lisbon

After breakfast, you meet your guide and enjoy a panoramic walking sightseeing tour of Lisbon.

During the tour, you see the most famous attractions, including Restauradores Square with the Obelisk commemorating the Restoration of Portugal’s independence from Spain in 1640.

You take a funicular up to the Bairro Alto and admire the view of the Mouraria district and the Sao Jorge Castle, the charming neighborhood of Chiado abundant in old cafés, shops, and theaters.

Then you proceed to Baixa including Rossio Square, where you learn how the city was destroyed in 1755 by a massive earthquake, and then totally rebuilt to become the city of today. Continue to Alfama Lisbon’s oldest district to admire Se Cathedral - the city’s oldest church and Commerce Square before returning back to the hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Trip to Sintra & Visit to the Belem Quarter

Following breakfast you meet your driver-guide and start your journey on an exciting day-trip to one of Portugal's most beautiful destinations - Sintra, that is famous for its fairy-tale castles and beautiful scenery. Upon arrival you visit the fairytale Pena Palace with a round trip shuttle bus (up to the Pena Palace).

Then you have some free time for lunch (not included) before your driver-guide takes you back to Lisbon. Upon arrival you visit the Belem Quarter, where you admire the Jerónimos Monastery (from the outside). You also make photo stops at the ancient Belem Tower and Monument to the Discoverers.

After the tour you are transferred back to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.
