Golden Circle Trip: Reykjavík to Selfoss

In the morning, after breakfast and check-out, you will pick up your rental car and begin your scenic self-drive from Reykjavik to Selfoss, transforming the journey into a premium Golden Circle experience at your own pace.

Your first recommended stop is the spectacular UNESCO World Heritage Site, Thingvellir National Park. After breakfast and check-out, begin your self-drive from Egilsstaðir toward Akureyri, taking the scenic northern route at your own pace.

On your journey, you will pass through Skagafjörður, an agricultural fjord with a rich history and charming rural scenery. Continue to Blönduós, located at the mouth of the glacial river Blanda, and consider stopping at Saðarskáli Café for a short break and refreshments.

Drive through the striking Holtavörðuheiði Highland, a broad mountain ridge between valleys offering panoramic views of Iceland’s rugged highlands.
