Welcome to Reykjavik - the picturesque capital of Iceland! Your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your hotel for check-in.

You then enjoy an orientation drive Reykjavik to discover the main sights. You see the official residence of the President of Iceland called Bessastadir, as well as Hofdi, the building where the all-important summit between the former U.S. President Ronald Reagan and the former U.S.S.R. Secretary General Mikhail Gorbachev took place in 1986.

Another place you see today is the Althing building - a classical 19th-century building which is home to the Icelandic parliament's main debating chamber.

In the evening you start your northern lights hunt with a private northern lights jeep tour. Together with your driver-guide, you drive out of the city, away from its light pollution. The cloud coverage is checked beforehand so you are taken to places where you will have better chances to see the Northern Lights.

A few examples: Kleifarvatn Lake, where you are likely to see the green reflections of the Aurora in the water or Thingvellir National Park to spot the Aurora dancing above the mountains. The tour takes approximately 3 hours after which you are taken back to your hotel.

In case of early arrival, you can opt for a visit to the Blue Lagoon Geothermal Pool or attend the Wonders of Iceland Exhibition and Planetarium in Perlan.

No meals included.
