Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival to Venice

Welcome to Venice - one of the most charming cities of Italy. Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver at the airport, who transfers you to the hotel for the check-in.

The rest of the day is at your own leisure to relax after the trip.

Day 2: Venice Sightseeing

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private guide in the lobby and enjoy a wonderful walking city tour of all the must-see places.

Your sightseeing program starts with a visit to St. Mark's Basilica, where you can see the astonishing Pala D'Oro altar. Next you go up to Loggia dei Cavalli to enjoy the best panoramic views of St. Mark's Square.

Next on your list is the tour of the Doges Palace that includes crossing the Bridge of Sighs, visiting the old prisons and lushly decorated chambers of the Palace.

After the tour return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure or may go on an optional gondola ride.

Day 3: Free Day & Train to Florence

Today is reserved for you to explore and enjoy Venice on your own. We suggest visiting the Peggy Guggenheim Collection or joining our carefully planned optional day trip to the islands of Murano & Burano.

Optional tour: Murano & Burano Boat Tour, Venice
Enjoy a tranquil trip through Venetian lagoon to the islands of Murano & Burano. Your first stop is Burano Island and see this charming and colorful fishing village with intricate streets and canals lined by pastel colored houses is famous for its lace-making industry. Then make your way to Murano. It's main pride is the world known Murano Glass. Enjoy a visit to a glass-factory where you see a demonstration of glass-blowing and visit the factory's showroom full of beautiful glassware.

In the afternoon you meet your private driver for a transfer to the railway station. In about 2 hours you reach your next destination, Florence. Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver at the train station, who transfers you to the hotel for the check-in. The rest of the evening is free for you to relax.

Day 4: Florence Sightseeing

After breakfast in your hotel, meet with your private guide and go on a comprehensive walking tour of Florence's highlights.

Today's program includes visits to the Duomo with its famous Bell-tower and its Baptistery dedicated to St. John the Baptist. As you proceed to the main square of the city - Piazza della Repubblica - you pass by the touristic area of the Strozzi Palace a bustling shopping street, via Tornabuoni.

Then you enter in Oltrarno where you see numerous local craftsmen shops and beautiful Santo Spirito Church and Convent, built for the Agostinian monks. In this very part of the city you can find the first official work of Michelangelo dating back to the age when he was 17 years old. We also visit the Galleria dell'Accademia to see the famous Michelangelo's statue David as well before ending the tour on the Ponte Vecchio.

After the tour you return to your hotel and enjoy evening at your own leisure.

Day 5: Free Day in Florence

Today is reserved for you to explore and enjoy Florence on your own. After breakfast you can do some independent sightseeing, shop for souvenirs or have a good rest.

We suggest visiting the Uffizi Gallery, the Pitti Palace or joining one of our carefully planned optional tours.

Optional tour: Tuscany Wine Trail, Florence
Get an insight of Tuscany, Italy's famous region of great wines during the Tuscany Wine Trail tour. Explore the fascinating countryside of the Chianti Wine region and discover two of the best wineries in Tuscany, taste exceptional wines and learn about their production from a wine expert and enjoy a delicious typical Tuscan meal. This experience is perfect for wine admirers.

Optional tour: Day Trip to Pisa & Lucca
Explore one of the most recognized symbols of Italy during the incredible day trip on trains to Pisa and Lucca. Together with your local guide discover the highlights of Pisa in about 3 hours with its famous Leaning Tower. Then take another short train ride to a lesser-known Italian gem called Lucca that is encircled by an unspoiled Renaissance wall. Here you are met by a local guide and go on a 2-hour sightseeing tour of Lucca's main sights. Train tickets Florence - Pisa, Pisa - Lucca, Lucca - Florence included.

Day 6: Ancient Rome Sightseeing & Colosseum

Following breakfast in your hotel you check out and meet your private driver for a transfer to the railway station. An hour and a half later you arrive to Rome. Your driver meets you and takes you to your downtown hotel.

After check in meet your guide for a stroll through the very heart of Rome. Today in about 4 hours you see the most famous attractions and hidden treasures of the Eternal city. You explore the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers, as well as witness the masterpieces by Bernini, Borromini and many others.

The highlight of your day is a tour of the most well-recognized sight of Rome - the Colosseum. Taxi fare to travel between the sites with your guide is included.

After the tour you return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 7: Vatican Sightseeing

In the morning after breakfast meet your guide and head to a walled enclave and the world’s smallest independent state - Vatican*. When inside the Vatican, you visit the Apostolic Palace and private apartments of Julius II decorated by Raphael.

Next you proceed to the Sistine Chapel, where you have enough time to admire Michelangelo's famous frescoes and learn about the intense relationship between Pope Julius II and Michelangelo that drove the artist to create the greatest work of art the world has ever known.

Your tour continues in the vast open spaces of St. Peter’s Basilica where you see a stunning Pieta - a world-famous work of Renaissance sculpture by Michelangelo, and Bernini's impressive Papal Canopy, a legacy left to the Basilica by the Barberini family.

The ending point of your tour is St. Peter’s Square, where you can admire Michelangelo's Dome and the gorgeous colonnades designed by Bernini. Round trip taxi fare is included.

After the tour you return to your hotel and enjoy the rest of the day at leisure. to enjoy the beauty of Rome on your own.

*Please note: the Vatican is a sacred religious site thus the dress code for visiting it is applied just as when you visit any church in Italy: no shorts – no uncovered knees and shoulders, no backpacks.

Day 8: Free Day in Rome

Today is reserved for you to explore and enjoy Rome on your own. After breakfast you can do some independent sightseeing, shop for souvenirs or have a good rest.

We suggest visiting the Opera Theater, the Modern Art Gallery - Galleria nazionale d'arte or the Galleria Borghese or joining one of our carefully planned optional tours.

Optional tour: Catacombs of Rome, Rome
Discover a layer of Roman history with a private guide and driver during your 3-hour Catacombs of Rome tour. First join a group excursion, supervised by a specially trained guide, to explore one of the Eternal City’s underground catacombs and burial chambers, unfolding millennia of history among tombs and inventive handmade memorials hidden deep underneath the city (mind that the maximum waiting time for the group gathering is 20 minutes). Continue to the spooky Capuchin Crypt made up of 5 successive chambers decorated and constructed entirely of bones and remains of 4,000 Capuchin monks, before reaching your final tour destination - the beautiful San Clemente Basilica built in 1123.

If you have a free day in Rome or would like to extend your stay by one more day we invite you to set off on an incredible 6-hour tour from Rome to Tivoli with a private guide and driver. Today you get to see the gorgeous Roman Villa of Emperor Hadrian - one of the most magnificent villas of the ancient world built 19 centuries ago. Then enter the Villa d’Este, the beautiful villa of a cardinal of the Renaissance, built in the mid-XVI century and decorated with hundreds of unique fountains and breathtaking panoramic views. Entrances to Villa d’Este and Villa Adriana are included.

Day 9: Departure

This is the last day of your amazing tour to Italy! After breakfast your driver meets you at the hotel lobby and takes you to the airport for your flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future vacations!
