Ancient Rome – Gladiators, Emperors & Living History
Step back thousands of years on today’s private walking tour. Begin at the Roman Forum, once the bustling political and spiritual heart of the ancient world. Wander among temples, arches, and the remains of civic buildings, including the Temple of Caesar and the Arch of Septimius Severus. Look up toward the Palatine Hill, where Rome itself was born.
Then it’s time for the star of the show — the Colosseum. Known in ancient times as the Flavian Amphitheatre, this colossal arena once held up to 70,000 roaring spectators. Standing inside its mighty walls is a moment you won’t forget.
After the tour, return to your hotel and enjoy a relaxed Roman evening.

Explore the private apartments of Julius II, wander through the Pinecone Courtyard, and admire the Gallery of Maps, Tapestries and Candelabra — each hall more impressive than the last.
Then step into the Sistine Chapel for a slow, awe-filled look at Michelangelo’s legendary frescoes and the remarkable story behind their creation.
