Day-by-Day

Day 1

Arrival in Marrakech

Welcome to the colorful city of Marrakech! Your driver meets you at the exit gates of the airport holding a sign with your name on it and transfers you to your traditional Moroccan riad.

The rest of the day is free so you can either explore the fantastic center of Marrakech on your own, dine at one of the local restaurants or take a good rest before the rich sightseeing program planned for the following day.

  • Pre-tour extension to Spain available
If you would like to extend your journey, we recommend Spain as Marrakech has very convenient links with Barcelona and Madrid. Contact your travel specialist to arrange your extension in Spain!

Day 2

Trip to Essaouira

Following breakfast, you enjoy a 2,5-hour trip to the beautiful coastal city of Essaouira, known as the Jewel of the Atlantic for its distinctive blue doors, white houses and authentic old town atmosphere.

Upon arrival, you have a guided tour around the most interesting city attractions. During the tour you visit the historical Skala Fortress and take a walk through the alleys of the medina viewing hundreds of handicrafts, including Thuya wood carvings.

Later you visit the women's cooperative of Argan oil, where you can learn more about the process of extracting this precious oil that is famous for its culinary, cosmetic and medical properties.

After lunch at the fish market, you are transferred back to your riad at Marrakech.

Day 3

Marrakech City Tour

After breakfast, you meet your private guide and start exploring the most interesting historical and cultural sights of the “red city of Morocco”, including the Saadian Tombs, the Ben Youssef Madrasa, and the Bahia Palace.

Following lunch, you are transferred outside the Medina to visit one of the most spectacular gardens in Morocco, the Majorelle Gardens, and have a short visit to the new city.

You finish your sightseeing tour at Jamaa el Fna square where you have some free time to walk among magicians, story-tellers and food sellers crowding the square, and to buy some traditional souvenirs.

After the tour, you return to your riad and have the rest of the day free.

Day 4

Marrakech - Ouarzazate - Boumalen Dades

After breakfast, you check out from the hotel. You meet your driver in the hotel lobby who takes you from Marrakech via Kasbah Ait Ben Haddou to Ouarzazate. Tucked away in the High Atlas Mountains, it is one of the jewels of Morocco.

Following your city tour in Ouarzazate, you travel to Boumalen Dades where you stay overnight. You are treated to a delicious dinner of the hotel restaurant.

Day 5

Exploring the Sahara Desert

Following breakfast at your hotel, you meet your guide and driver who take you to a small desert town called Erfoud where you have guided sightseeing tour.

In the afternoon, you have a traditional lunch with a Berber family and visit the Todra Gorge - a very spectacular canyon.

You then head off to the majestic Sahara sand dunes. After a short camel ride, you enjoy some of the most beautiful sunsets in your life.

One of the today's highlights is the night spent in a deluxe Berber tent where you are treated to a delicious dinner.

Day 6

Transfer to Fes

Today following breakfast, you continue your Moroccan discovery with a drive to Fes, the spiritual capital of Morocco.

Along the way, you have a chance to enjoy beautiful panoramas of the Todra Gorge. The Todra Gorge is a canyon in the eastern part of the High Atlas Mountains in Morocco, near the town of Tinerhir. Both the Todra and neighboring Dades Rivers have carved out cliff-sided canyons on their final 40 km through the mountains.

Halfway you stop for lunch in Midelt - a town famous for its fossils and rocks. In the evening you arrive in Fes where you have dinner and check-in a centrally located hotel for overnight.

Day 7

Departure from Fes

This is the last day of your outstanding Morocco tour. After breakfast, you check-out from the hotel. You meet your driver who transfers you to the airport for your flight back home.

We hope you enjoyed your Morocco experience and we'll be looking forward to seeing you on our tours again!

  • Optional tour: Moroccan cooking class
