Day-by-Day

Day 1
Arrival in Saint Petersburg

Welcome to St. Petersburg! Your driver is waiting for you at the exit gate of the airport. He takes you to the hotel, where you can spend the rest of your day, relaxing after the flight.

Your hotel is located in the very heart of the city, so you have a wonderful opportunity to start exploring the nearby places of interest and restaurants on your own.

Day 2
St. Petersburg City Tour

After breakfast, you meet your guide and driver at the hotel lobby and enjoy a 6-hour panoramic city tour around the most cherished gems of St. Petersburg, including Palace Square, the Hermitage Museum, the Mariinsky Theater, Nevsky Prospect and many other popular attractions (no entrances included).

During the tour you also visit the Peter and Paul Fortress - a burial place of almost all the Russian emperors and empresses from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family, the magnificent St. Isaac's Cathedral that is the second tallest Orthodox church in the world, and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, which stands on the spot where Russia's great emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

  • Optional tour: Feel Yourself Russian Folk Show, St. Petersburg
    Enchanting festival of Russian spirit "Feel yourself Russian" is performed by a professional folk ensemble at the Nikolaevsky Palace. Three musicians brilliantly perform folk compositions. Besides the accordion and balalaika which are traditional for Russia, some rare and even exotic musical instruments are used by this group. You will be astonished to hear lyrical or stirring tunes performed by means of objects which are never known to be used for music-making. These extraordinary performances are full of humor and stress the efficiency of the players of the instruments, their ability to turn the ordinary into the beautiful and remarkable.
Day 3
Visit to the Hermitage Museum

Following breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go to the legendary Hermitage Museum to see its unique collection of world art.

During the tour, you visit the halls of the Winter Palace to explore the main collection of the Hermitage, including the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, El Greco, Francisco Goya and Thomas Gainsborough.

You then proceed to the General Staff Building to admire the Hermitage's superb collection of Modern European Art, primarily consisting of the world-famous French impressionist and post-impressionist paintings.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 4
Trip to Catherine's Palace

After breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and head for Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) to explore the brilliant Catherine's Palace that is a striking example of baroque architecture gifted by Peter the Great to his wife Catherine I. 

During the tour, you walk through the lavish parks and gardens of this outstanding palace and enjoy its gorgeous interiors, including the replica of the world-renowned Amber Room.

After the tour, you return to your hotel in St. Petersburg and have the rest of the day free.

 

Day 5
Trip to Peterhof

After breakfast, you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and travel to the outskirts of St. Petersburg to explore the palaces (from the outside) and gardens of the former summer residence of Russian tsars and the gem of palace architecture - Peterhof Palace.

During the tour, you visit the famous Bath Cottage, which offers a fascinating insight into everyday life of Russian court, and take a walk in the beautiful Lower Park, lavishly adorned with 176 fountains of various forms and styles and numerous gilded statues of ancient gods and heroes.

The highlight of the tour is a unique hydrofoil ride back to St. Petersburg.

Upon your return to St. Petersburg you are taken to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 6
Excursion of the Yusupov Palace

Following breakfast, you go on a guided tour of the Yusupov Palace that is one of the most beautiful examples of classicism style constructions in St. Petersburg. Decorated with six-column portico, the Palace delights with a harmony of proportions and silhouette elegance.

During the tour, you explore the most interesting halls and rooms of this Palace that is the best known as the Palace on the Moika River where Grigory Rasputin was murdered in 1916.

A private boat ride along the beautiful canals and rivers of the Russian Northern capital comes as a final chord to your exploration of St. Petersburg. After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

    Your private guide takes you to one of the most beautiful palaces in St. Petersburg - the Shuvalov Palace located on the Fontanka River to show you the world’s largest collection of works by Carl Fabergé, including nine of the famous Imperial Easter Eggs, regarded not only as the finest jeweled works of art, but also as unique historical artifacts. The museum’s collection also includes decorative and applied works made by the Russian masters of the late 19th and early 20th centuries.
Day 7
Departure from St. Petersburg

This is the final day of your amazing St. Petersburg tour. After breakfast you check out from your hotel and your private driver takes you to the airport for your flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future trips!
