Day-by-Day

Day 1

Arrival to Venice

Welcome to Venice - one of the most charming cities of Italy. Upon arrival, you are met by your private driver at the airport, who transfers you to the hotel for the check-in.

The rest of the day is at your own leisure to relax after the trip.

Day 2

Venice Sightseeing

After breakfast at your hotel, meet your private guide in the lobby and enjoy a wonderful walking city tour of all the must-see places.

We’ve carefully chosen the stops on this tour to give you a real insight into the city. You see the Rialto Bridge (and Rialto fish market), walk past the quiet streets, pass peaceful canals and go beyond the areas that visitors usually see. This is where Venice is hiding its best architecture and secret stories – and that’s what we’re out to find.

Among many sights you discover are the iconic St. Mark's Basilica, where you see the astonishing Pala D'Oro altar. You go up to Loggia dei Cavalli to enjoy the best panoramic views of St. Mark's Square.

Your tour is crowned with an unforgettable experience of a traditional gondola ride. For a half an hour you ride through Venetian canals and admire the best of Venice from the water.

After the tour return to your hotel and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 3

Day Trip to Murano & Burano Islands

Following breakfast you have a day trip to the exciting and colorful Murano and Burano islands. Located in the Venetian lagoon, Burano Island is famous for its lace making production and Murano is well-known for its glass blowing traditions.

After the tour you are transferred back to the hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 4

Train to Florence & Sightseeing

In the morning you check-out from the hotel and your private driver picks you up from the hotel and transfers you to the railway station.

Upon arrival to Florence in about 2 hours you are taken to your downtown hotel for check-in. After some rest you go on a sightseeing tour of Florence's highlights.

Today's program includes visits to the Duomo with its famous Bell-tower and its Baptistery dedicated to St. John the Baptist. As you proceed to the main square of the city - Piazza della Repubblica - you pass by the touristic area of the Strozzi Palace a bustling shopping street, via Tornabuoni.

Then you enter in Oltrarno where you see numerous local craftsmen shops and beautiful Santo Spirito Church and Convent, built for the Agostinian monks. In this very part of the city you can find the first official work of Michelangelo dating back to the age when he was 17 years old. We also visit the Galleria dell'Accademia to see the famous Michelangelo's statue David as well before ending the tour on the Ponte Vecchio.

After the tour you return to your hotel and enjoy the evening at leisure.

Day 5

Day Trip to Pisa & Lucca

In the morning after breakfast at your hotel and prepare for a beautiful journey outside of Florence. You meet your driver in the hotel lobby for a transfer to Pisa.

Upon arrival, you have some free time to explore the highlights of Pisa in with its famous Leaning Tower.

Afterwards, your driver transfers you to a lesser-known Italian gem called Lucca that is encircled by an unspoiled Renaissance wall. Here you are met by a local guide and go on a 2-hour sightseeing tour of Lucca's main sights.

After the tour, you are transferred to your hotel in Florence and have the rest of the evening free.

Day 6

Tuscany Wine Trail

In the morning you meet your private driver that takes you on a Tuscany Wine Trail tour.

Today you get an insight of Tuscany, Italy's famous region of great wines, explore the fascinating countryside of the Chianti Wine region and discover two of the best wineries in Tuscany, taste exceptional wines, learn about wine production from a wine expert, enjoy a delicious typical Tuscan meal at one of the most famous restaurants in Tuscany.

After the tour, you are transferred back to your hotel in Florence.

Day 7

Train to Rome and Visit of Forum & Colosseum

After breakfast in the hotel, you check out and walk to the rail station to board a train to Rome. An hour and a half later you arrive in the Italian capital. Your driver meets you and takes you to your downtown hotel. After check-in, your introduction to Rome starts.

First, you visit Roman forum - the most important forum in ancient Rome, situated on low ground between the Palatine and Capitoline hills. The Roman Forum was the scene of public meetings, law courts, and gladiatorial combats in republican times and was lined with shops and open-air markets. Under the empire, when it primarily became a center for religious and secular spectacles and ceremonies, it was the site of many of the city’s most imposing temples and monuments.

The highlight of your day is a tour of the most well-recognized sight of Rome - the Colosseum.

After the tour, you return to the hotel.

Day 8

Rome Renaissance and Baroque Tour

Following breakfast, you meet your guide and have a walking tour of the Renaissance and Baroque Rome. You explore the Spanish Steps, the Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers, as well as witness the masterpieces by Bernini, Borromini, and many others.

Day 9

Exploring Vatican

In the morning after breakfast meet your guide and driver and head to a walled enclave and the world’s smallest independent state - Vatican*. When inside the Vatican, you visit private apartments of Julius II, Pinecone Courtyard, Gallery of the Maps, Gallery of the Tapestries and Gallery of Candelabra.

Next, you proceed to the Sistine Chapel, where you have enough time to admire Michelangelo's famous frescoes and learn about the intense relationship between Pope Julius II and Michelangelo that drove the artist to create the greatest work of art the world has ever known.

Your tour continues in the vast open spaces of St. Peter’s Basilica where you see a stunning Pieta - a world-famous work of Renaissance sculpture by Michelangelo, and Bernini's impressive Papal Canopy, a legacy left to the Basilica by the Barberini family.

The ending point of your tour is in St. Peter’s Square, where you can admire Michelangelo's Dome and the gorgeous colonnades designed by Bernini.

After that, you are transferred back to the hotel and have the evening free to enjoy the beauty of Rome on your own.

  • Please note: the Vatican is a sacred religious site thus the dress code for visiting it is applied just as when you visit any church in Italy: no shorts – no uncovered knees and shoulders, no backpacks.

We had a top-notch tour to the UK. Even more than top-notch, "ace" as the locals say!

We had a top-notch tour to the UK in June 2016. Even more than top-notch, "ace" as the locals say! The Treasures of Britain tour my husband and I took was everything we wanted. We really liked the hotels we stayed in, each with its own charm and history. Particularly we would like to note breakfasts in the hotel in ...

Superb tour to Italy! You really deserve a round of applause

I wasn't sure what to expect from our trip to Italy but my mom and I were very surprised with how smoothly everything went. Only a few minor hiccups that were too minor to even mention. We enjoyed the guided tours because all the views were really great and the buildings so old. The sites were a bit crowded but still ...

London, Brussels, Amsterdam Tour (May 2017)

Overall, very good. The group did not like starting off on a crowded 20-stop subway journey instead of the Heathrow Express. Guides were great. Brussels was 50/50 with the group. If we had more interior visits, it would have been better. We will eliminate the Hague next time, and spend more time in Rotterdam. ...
