Arrival and Departure to Mecca
Welcome to Medina, home to the Prophet's Mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi), which contains the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad. It’s a major pilgrimage destination for Muslims, especially during Hajj and Umrah.
Medina is where the Prophet Muhammad established the first Islamic community after migrating from Mecca in 622 CE (the Hijra). It’s the site of key events in early Islamic history, including the Constitution of Medina, a pioneering document for governance and coexistence.
The city hosts historical sites like the Quba Mosque (the first mosque in Islam) and the Qiblatain Mosque (where the direction of prayer changed from Jerusalem to Mecca). It’s also known for its traditional markets and Islamic architecture. Millions visit annually for prayer and to experience its serene, spiritual atmosphere, drawn by its deep connection to Islamic faith and history.
Arrival
On arrival in Mecca, you’ll check into your hotel.
Take some time to rest after your journey. Once you feel ready, prepare for Umrah by performing ghusl (ritual purification) and changing into the ihram garments—two plain white cloths for men, and modest, body-covering attire for women. With a calm heart and focused mind, make your intention for Umrah at the designated Miqat.
Begin your pilgrimage at Masjid al-Haram with Tawaf, circling the Kaaba seven times in devotion. Offer two rak’ahs near Maqam Ibrahim, drink from the blessed Zamzam water, and perform Sa’i, walking between Safa and Marwah. You may then exit ihram and return to your regular clothing, marking the completion of your Umrah.
Afterward, rest and enjoy dinner at your hotel, before returning to Masjid al-Haram for Maghrib and Isha prayers. Spend time in personal worship—reciting Quran, making dua, or reflecting near the Kaaba.

Spiritual Immersion
Wake up early for Fajr prayer at Masjid al-Haram, arriving before the adhan to secure a good spot. If energy permits, perform a voluntary Tawaf—seven circuits around the Kaaba—as it is among the most rewarding acts in Mecca. Afterward, spend time in heartfelt dua or engage in Quran recitation, either near the Kaaba or in one of the mosque’s quieter areas.
Discover the artistry behind the Kiswah, the sacred cloth that covers the Kaaba, on a visit to the Kaaba Kiswah Factory. Learn about its history, witness the intricate craftsmanship of skilled artisans, and gain a deeper understanding of this important Islamic tradition.
Return to Masjid al-Haram for Maghrib and Isha prayers, then remain for optional worship, such as tahajjud or personal reflection in the mosque’s serene night atmosphere. Those with energy may also perform an additional voluntary Tawaf, adding further blessings to the day.

Caves of Revelation and Refuge
Begin your day with a serene sunrise Tawaf, circling the Kaaba in the calm of the early morning when the crowds are lighter. Afterward, spend time in personal worship within the Haram or attend a scholar’s lecture to deepen your spiritual understanding and connection.
Hike to Hira Cave on Jabal al-Nour, about an hour’s climb, where Prophet Muhammad received the first revelation. Start early to avoid the midday heat and spend time reflecting on the divine origin of the Qur’an in this sacred space. Continue to Jabal Thawr, a 20-minute hike to the cave where the Prophet and Abu Bakr sought refuge during their migration to Medina. Return to Masjid al-Haram for Dhuhr prayer, carrying with you the profound weight of these historic and spiritual moments.
Join Isha prayer in Masjid al-Haram, immersing yourself in its vast, spiritual atmosphere under the night sky. Rest at your hotel to recover from travel, or perform a light Nafl Tawaf if you feel energized for more worship.

Arafat’s Grace and Mina
Take a morning to Mount Arafat, spending 2 hours in prayer at the Plains of Arafat, where the Prophet delivered his Farewell Sermon. This deeply moving experience strengthens your spiritual resolve and is a highlight of your journey.
Then travel to Mina to see the tent city and Jamarat Bridge, important Hajj sites that evoke the trials of pilgrimage. After exploring these sacred locations, return to Masjid al-Haram for Asr prayer, experiencing firsthand the history and significance of these spiritual landmarks.
Attend Maghrib and Isha prayers at the sacred Masjid al-Haram, then remain afterward to immerse yourself in optional worship. You may choose to engage in tahajjud (late-night prayer), if offered, or spend quiet moments in personal reflection, embracing the mosque’s serene night atmosphere that naturally deepens spiritual focus. For those with energy, an additional voluntary Tawaf can be performed, adding further blessings to your evening of devotion.

Farewell & Reflection
In the morning attend Fajr prayer at Masjid al-Haram. Arrive early to sit closer to the Kaaba.
Spend 1-2 hours after Fajr reciting Quran or making dua in the mosque. Focus on personal supplications for yourself, family, and the ummah.
Spend time on the Haram’s calmer upper floors, reading Quran or reflecting in a peaceful setting away from the ground-level crowds. Visit Maqam Ibrahim, the stone bearing Prophet Abraham’s footprint, to offer heartfelt Du’a and feel a tangible link to prophetic history.
End your day at Masjid al-Haram with Maghrib and Isha prayers, perform a farewell Tawaf (Tawaf al-Wada) if departing, and spend time in reflection, dua, and seeking blessings.
