From Ancient Gardens to Skyscraper Wonders

Following breakfast you meet your guide and driver who take you on a private tour around the most important Shanghai's attractions.
Yuyuan Garden, located in the center of Shanghai's old quarters, is a private garden built in 1559 during the Ming Dynasty. The garden is surrounded by a busy marketplace where visitors can find everything from popular local snacks, handicrafts, antiques, and souvenirs to some famous time-honored restaurants.

Adjacent to Yuyuan Garden, the City God Temple (or Chenghuangmiao) was also built during the fifteenth century of the Ming Dynasty. This Taoist temple complex includes halls such as the Grand Hall, Middle Hall, Bedroom Palace, and Star Gods Hall. It holds significant influence over the residents of Shanghai, with its religious festivals celebrated city-wide.

Discover Shanghai's transformation from historic districts to modern Pudong. Soar to the top of the Shanghai Tower, one of the world's tallest buildings, for breathtaking views from the 118th-floor observation deck. Enjoy a coffee break, then cruise the Huangpu River on a public ferry for a unique perspective of the waterfront. Explore the Bund's architectural gems, where historic buildings tell tales of Shanghai's golden age. Peek into hidden alleys, savor local bites at a Michelin-starred spot, and learn about takeout culture.
The Shanghai Tower, standing at 632 meters (2,073 feet) with 128 stories, is renowned for its highest observation deck at 561 meters and fastest elevators. This premier landmark offers an unforgettable view of Shanghai's evolution.

*Note: The garden will be most crowded during Chinese holidays when many locals travel.
**There are many hawkers at the entrance of Yuyuan Market; if you don’t want to buy anything, the most effective way to deal with them is simply to ignore them.
