Upon arrival, you are transferred to your centrally-located hotel for check-in. The rest of the day is free.


Chamonix to Les Contamines-Montjoie
Begin your adventure in the alpine village of Les Houches, the traditional starting point of the Tour du Mont Blanc. Enjoy your first sweeping views of the Chamonix Valley and the Mont Blanc Massif before ascending by cable car to Bellevue*. From here, the trail winds towards the Col de Tricot, crossing a dramatic suspension bridge over waterfalls cascading from the Bionnassay Glacier.
If the weather turns, you can follow the classic variant — a more sheltered route through peaceful forest paths and the Contamines Valley. Your day ends in the charming resort village of Les Contamines-Montjoie, where you can rest and refuel for the next stage of your journey.
At times, hikers may use the Prarion cable car instead, joining the trail near Bellevue via Col de Voza.

From here, the path climbs steadily past Roman bridges and alpine meadows to the Col du Bonhomme, and then higher to the Col de la Croix du Bonhomme, offering breathtaking views across Savoie County.
Descend through a landscape dotted with farmhouses and wildflower pastures (Le Balme) before reaching the quiet hamlet of Les Chapieux, where you’ll spend the night surrounded by serene mountain scenery.

Leave Les Chapieux following the river upstream through open valleys and alpine pastures. The trail ascends steadily to the Col de la Seigne (2516 m), marking the border between France and Italy. As you cross into Val Veny, the mighty southern face of Mont Blanc dominates the horizon.
Continue down the valley along a panoramic path through meadows and glacial streams until you reach Courmayeur, the jewel of the Italian Alps — a perfect place to unwind and indulge in Italian hospitality.

Trient to Chamonix
Your final day begins with a steady ascent from the village of Trient to the Col de Balme, where you cross the border back into France. From the pass, the Mont Blanc Massif stretches before you in all its grandeur — a breathtaking finale and a perfect view of the valley where your journey first began.
From here, descend through alpine meadows toward Le Tour, a peaceful mountain village where you can pause to celebrate your achievement.
