Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Windhoek

Welcome to the multicultural capital of Namibia - Windhoek! Your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your modern hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free so you can start exploring the magnificent city center on your own or take a good rest in your comfortable room.

Recommended activities: We recommend to take a trip to the township of Katutura or visit a local Tukondjeni Market.

Day 2: Trip to Kalahari Desert

Following breakfast you check out from your hotel and travel into one of the largest sandy savannahs on earth - the Kalahari Desert. Known as the "Soul of the World" this desert with its deep red sand dunes and endless grass plains is home to a vast amount of specially adapted wildlife. 

Today you have the unique opportunity to experience the amazing flora and fauna that has survived this desert environment for thousands of years.

Later you are transferred to your comfortable lodge for check-in. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Dinner is included.

Day 3: Visit of the Quiver Tree Forest

After breakfast you check out from your lodge and continue traveling south through the scenic rocky plains to the unique Quiver Tree forest. 

Nestled amongst huge dolerite boulders, this forest comprises about 250 specimens of aloe trees some of which are two to three centuries old. You have the chance to enjoy this astonishing scenery and take some memorable photos.

Then you proceed to your stylish lodge, situated in close vicinity to the Fish River Canyon, and you have the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 4: Exploring Fish River Canyon & Trip to Succulent Karoo

Following breakfast you visit the Fish River Canyon - the largest canyon in the southern hemisphere, and probably only second to Arizona’s Grand Canyon in terms of size. You have the chance to gaze 550 meters down into this magnificent geological phenomenon while enjoying a walking tour of the canyon.

Later you travel to the Succulent Karoo ecoregion that is unparalleled by any other arid region on earth. Having the richest succulent flora in the world, it is home to more than 5,000 plant species, nearly 40 percent of which are endemic, as well as to a wide variety of insects and reptiles.

After the tour your driver transfers you to your comfortable lodge for check-in. The rest of the day is free.

Day 5: Free Day in Aus

This day is free for you to enjoy the magnificent surroundings of Aus on your own or join one of our carefully prepared optional activities. Ask your travel specialist about available options.

Day 6: Driving to Sossusvlei

After breakfast you check out from your lodge and travel north through the Pre-Namib Desert to your lodge located in a small settlement of Sesriem that is the gateway to the famous Sesriem Canyon and Sossusvlei sand dunes. 

Upon arrival you check in to your lodge and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Breakfast and dinner are included.

Day 7: Exploring Sossusvlei & Sesriem Canyon

Early in the morning you enjoy a walking tour of Sossusvlei - Namibia’s most spectacular and best-known attraction. Located in the biggest conservation area in Africa, the Namib-Naukluft National Park, Sossusvlei's rich ochre sand dunes offer one of the most mind-blowing sights you will ever experience.

Today you have the unique chance to enjoy these amazing sand formations that reach up to 400 meters and create an unforgettable wilderness in the heart of the world’s oldest desert. 

Later you proceed to the spectacular Sesriem Canyon that was shaped by the Tsauchab River over millions of years ago. Today it is one of the few places in the area that holds water all year round. During the tour you take a walk through the canyon to explore its stunning rock formations and see a variety of pools and plants in the canyon bed.

After the tour you are transferred back to your hotel and have the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 8: Driving to Walvis Bay

After breakfast you check out from your lodge and travel via desolate rolling hills of the Kuiseb Moon Valley towards the Atlantic Ocean. 

You first stop awaits you in Namibia’s principal harbor - Walvis Bay. This town situated at a wide lagoon is one of the most important wetlands of southern Africa and is a paradise to a great number of migrating birds, including pelicans and flamingos. 

Then you are transferred to your hotel located in the coastal town of Swakopmund and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 9: Free Day in Swakopmund

This day is free for you to explore the most interesting Swakopmund attractions on your own, taste traditional food in one of the local cafes or enjoy a wide variety of activities on offer, ranging from dolphin cruises, quad biking and kite surfing to name a few. Ask your travel specialist about available options.

Breakfast and dinner are included.

Day 10: Visit of Cape Cross & Driving to Damaraland

Following breakfast you check out from your hotel and travel further north along vast lichen fields to Cape Cross Seal Reserve that is home to the largest breeding colony of fur seals on the planet. Here you have the chance to enjoy the wonderful views of more than 100,000 seals basking on the beach and frolicking in the waves of the Atlantic Ocean. 

Later you continue driving via the Brandberg, Namibia's highest mountain (2,579 m), into the Damaraland - the homeland for the Damara people and one of the least populated and geologically diverse areas in Africa. This harsh rocky environment is home to the rare Desert Elephant, the Black Rhino and free-roaming antelope species.

Upon arrival you are transferred to your hotel for check-in and spend the rest of the day at your leisure.

Day 11: Trip to Twyfelfontein

After breakfast you check out from your hotel and your driver transfers you to Twyfelfontein - the largest open-air art gallery of ancient Bushman paintings in Southern Africa. 

During the tour around this amazing UNESCO World Heritage Site you have the chance to see some of its 17 rock art sites, which collectively encompass 212 engraved stone slabs. Then you explore the Welwitschia mirabilis plant - the oldest living desert plant on earth, and  visit a traditional Damara village to learn more about the culture and traditions of the locals.

After the tour you are transferred to your lodge located nearby the Etosha National Park that is Namibia’s prime wilderness conservation area, and spend the rest of the day at leisure.

Day 12: Etosha National Park Game Drive

Following breakfast you meet your guide and take a fascinating safari through the Etosha National Park to enjoy comprehensive game-viewing as well as amazing views across the vast salt pans which dominate the center of the Park. 

This park is home to four of the Big Five - elephant, lion, leopard and rhino, while the waterholes support a rich diversity of birds and mammals, including rare species such as black-faced impala, roan, cheetah, and Namibia's smallest antelope - the Damara dik-dik. 

Depending on the season game drives may cover different routes, but most often they focus around the waterholes where you are most likely to see a variety of wildlife coming here to drink and swim.

After the game drive you return to your lodge and have the rest of the day free.

Day 13: Etosha National Park Game Drive

After breakfast you continue your unforgettable exploration of Namibia’s wildlife in the Etosha National Park. You may encounter animal species you have not seen the previous day and look forward to any new surprises at the different waterholes visited. 

In the afternoon you are transferred to your lodge nestled in the picturesque Onguma Game Reserve, where you can enjoy the rest of the evening at leisure. 

Situated on the eastern side of the Etosha National Park, the Onguma Game Reserve boasts over 30 different animal species consisting of plain game, including kudu, oryx, giraffe, and zebra, as well as predators such as lion, cheetah and leopard.

Day 14: Departure from Windhoek

This is the last day of your amazing Namibia adventure! After breakfast you check out from your hotel and your driver transfers you to the Windhoek airport for your flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future trips!
