Arrival to Lisbon

Today you arrive in the glorious capital of Portugal - Lisbon! Upon arrival, your driver meets you and takes you to your downtown hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free for you to relax or start exploring the abundant heritage left here almost intact from one of the world's greatest empires in history!

No meals are included.

Note: The Hotel is not reachable by car, and you need to walk 3-5 minutes.

Lisbon Walking City Tour

After breakfast, you meet your guide and enjoy a panoramic walking sightseeing tour of Lisbon.

During the tour, you see the most famous attractions, including Restauradores Square with the Obelisk commemorating the Restoration of Portugal’s independence from Spain in 1640.

You take a funicular up to the Bairro Alto and admire the view of the Mouraria district and the Sao Jorge Castle, the charming neighborhood of Chiado abundant in old cafés, shops, and theaters.

Then you proceed to Baixa including Rossio Square, where you learn how the city was destroyed in 1755 by a massive earthquake, and then totally rebuilt to become the city of today. Continue to Alfama Lisbon’s oldest district to admire Se Cathedral - the city’s oldest church and Commerce Square before returning back to the hotel and have the rest of the day free.

After the tour is over you return to your hotel and have free time to relax or explore Lisbon on your own.

Trip to Sintra & Visit to the Belem Quarter

Following breakfast you meet your driver-guide and start your journey on an exciting day-trip to one of Portugal's most beautiful destinations - UNESCO-listed Cultural Landscape of Sintra, that is famous for its fairy-tale castles and beautiful scenery. Upon arrival you visit the Pena Palace with a round trip shuttle bus (up to the Pena Palace).

Then you have some free time for lunch (not included) before your driver-guide takes you back to Lisbon. Upon arrival you visit the Belem Quarter, where you admire the Jerónimos Monastery (from the outside). You also make photo stops at the ancient Belem Tower and Monument to the Discoverers.

After the tour you are transferred back to your hotel. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

From Lisbon to Algarve

After breakfast at your hotel, you are transferred to Gare do Oriente railway station for a train trip to the Southern province of Portugal, Algarve.

Upon arrival in Algarve (Loulé railway station), your private driver meets you holding a sign with your name on it. You are then transferred to your Vilamoura hotel and have some free time to explore the surrounding area.

Coastal Exploration of Algarve

Enjoy breakfast at your Vilamoura hotel. Following that, you go on a private tour of the Algarve coast.

Today's touring program takes us to coastal towns of Lagos and Sagres, which remain some of the most authentic parts of the Algarve region still not spoiled by tourist crowds. It is your perfect chance to wander back in time to the era of the Portuguese Discoveries!

In Lagos, you visit the golden church of Saint Anthony and the first slave market in Europe, as well as marvel at the spectacular rock formations of Ponta da Piedade. In Sagres, you pass by the 15th-century fortress and visit Cape St. Vincent (the most southwestern point of Europe). This place was known as the End of the World and today apart from stunning natural panoramas it boasts the most powerful lighthouse in Europe.

After the tour, you return to your Vilamoura hotel for an overnight. The rest of the evening is free.

Enjoy breakfast at the hotel and plan your full free day in Vilamoura.

Vilamoura boasts the famous marina with a lively social scene. Many local celebrities come here to enjoy the holidays and weekends: sprawling shopping areas and nearly endless choice of recreation facilities will keep you entertained for the entire day!

Departure from Faro

This is the last day of your Portuguese discovery! After breakfast at the hotel, your driver takes you to the international airport in Faro for a flight back home.
