Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Johannesburg

Welcome to Johannesburg - South Africa's bustling metropolis located in the very heart of the country! Your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free for you to start exploring the surroundings on your own, dine in one of the local restaurants or take a good rest before the rich sightseeing program planned for the next day.

Day 2: Johannesburg City Tour

Following breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go on a wonderful sightseeing tour around the most interesting attractions of Johannesburg.

During the tour you drive through the famous Banking District, see the Magistrate's Court and the Supreme Court, enjoy the best city views from the Top of Africa viewing platform located on the 50th floor of the Carlton Center and visit the Museum Africa to learn more about African culture and history.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 3: Trip to Mpumalanga

After breakfast you check out from your hotel and your driver transfers you to the beautiful province of Mpumalanga known as the "Land of the Rising Sun".

Your way is lying via the magnificent Panorama Route famous for its breathtaking vistas over the high looming mountains, spectacular waterfalls and the truly impressive Blyde River Canyon, one of the world's largest canyons.

From many well-positioned vantage points one has a view of the 33 km long gorge, which starts at "Bourke's Luck Potholes" and ends at the "Three Rondavels". If time and weather permit, you stop at picturesque God's Window and the Mac Mac Falls.

In the afternoon you arrive at your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 4: Trip to Kruger National Park

In the morning after breakfast you are transferred to the world-renowned Kruger National Park to enjoy an open vehicle safari through this scenic reserve that offers a wildlife experience that ranks the best in Africa.

At nearly 2 million hectares, the Kruger National Park is the flagship of South African National Parks and is home to an impressive number of flora and fauna, including the famous African Big Five - lion, leopard, elephant, buffalo and rhino.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Optional evening activity: Extra trip to the Kruger National Park to absorb the tranquil beauty of an evening safari.

Day 5: Exploring Swaziland

Following breakfast you check out from your hotel and travel to the tiny mountainous Kingdom of Swaziland filled with bygone African traditions and culture.

During the tour you enjoy a showcase of the traditional Swazi culture followed by lunch at the Matsamo Cultural Village. Then you proceed to the Ngwenya Glass Works where you see master craftsmen creating beautiful sculptures and artwork from molten glass and spend some time at the Mbabane craft markets.

After the tour you are transferred to your hotel located in the beautiful Ezulwini Valley and have the rest of the day free.

Day 6: KwaZulu Natal Trip & Visit to the Zulu Camp

After breakfast you check out from your hotel and visit the famous Swazi Candle Factory where each candle is made and finished by hand using the age-old technique "millefiore". No two are the same and the range boasts an astonishing array of patterns, shapes and designs.

You continue your trip via Big Bend into the picturesque province of KwaZulu Natal. Upon arrival at your hotel you embark on an afternoon scenic drive up the Ubombo Mountains, offering great views over magnificent Lake Jozini.

The highlight of the trip is a visit to a local and authentic Zulu homestead for a glimpse into Zulu life, culture and traditions in modern world.

After the tour you return to your hotel for overnight.

Day 7: Experiencing the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve

This morning is free for you to enjoy the surroundings on your own or join some of the optionals tours and activities.

In the afternoon you are transferred to the Hluhluwe-Imfolozi Game Reserve for a wonderful game viewing experience. Covering a combined area of 90 000 ha this reserve is famous for being the place where the white rhino was saved from extinction.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 8: Trip to St. Lucia Wetland Park

Following breakfast you check out from your hotel and continue your journey along the Elephant Coast of KwaZulu Natal to the town of St. Lucia, located at the southern extremity of the iSimangaliso Wetland Park.

Here you embark on an exciting boat trip which provides an opportunity to view crocodiles, hippo and numerous bird species, including the elusive African Kingfisher Eagle, in their natural habitat.

Later you are transferred to your hotel in Durban located on the Gold Mile - Durban's distinctive beach front.

Day 9: Durban City Tour & Flight to Port Elizabeth

In the morning after breakfast you check out from your hotel and enjoy a brief Durban sightseeing tour around the most interesting cultural and historical attractions of the city.

After the tour you are transferred to the airport for a quick flight to Port Elizabeth (flight tickets are not included).

Upon arrival you are transferred to your hotel for check-in and have the rest of the day free.

Day 10: Visiting Tsitsikamma National Park

After breakfast you check out from your hotel and travel to the beautiful Tsitsikamma National Park. Known as the "Garden of the Garden Route", the Tsitsikamma actually deserves a more vivid description to reveal the real glory of its coastal scenery, reefs, rivers and lush forests.

You have the great chance to enjoy all this beauty while walking along the suspension bridge across the Storms River mouth gorge which offers incredible views and photo opportunities.

Later you are transferred to your hotel in Plettenberg Bay and have the rest of the day free.

Day 11: Elephant Park Trip

Following breakfast you enjoy a fascinating adventure to the famous Elephant Sanctuary, where you learn more about the sad and mystical story of the elephants. The visit presents you with the opportunity to touch, feed and photograph these gentle giants.

Then you travel to Plettenberg Bay to visit the Birds of Eden - the largest free-flight bird aviary in the world. Birds of Eden stems from the need to create a safe environment in which to release a large collection of free-flight African birds and the sanctuary also enables bird owners to apply to release their pet birds into the sanctuary, after undergoing rehabilitation.

Optional activity: Whale and dolphin boat experience.

Day 12: Keurbooms River Cruise & Trip to Oudtshoorn

In the morning after breakfast you check out from your hotel and enjoy an informative cruise up the Keurbooms River. Then you proceed to the lagoon side town of Knysna - the gem of the Garden Route, where you spend some free time at the scenic Knysna Waterfront Complex.

In the afternoon you continue your journey to the city of Oudtshoorn known as the world’s feather capital due to its large ostrich industry. Upon arrival you enjoy a guided tour to a working ostrich farm that provides you with an opportunity to touch and even ride these magnificent birds.

After the tour you are transferred to your hotel for check-in and have the rest of the day free.

Day 13: Visit of the Cango Caves

Following breakfast you check out from your hotel and have a guided tour to the Cango Caves located just 29 km. from Oudtshoorn. Sculptured by nature through the ages, the Cango Caves are one of the world’s biggest stalagmite formations set in Precambrian limestone.

After exploring this amazing landmark you are transferred to your hotel in Cape Town and have the rest of the day free.

Day 14: Cape Point & Peninsula Tour

This day is dedicated to an awe-inspiring tour to one of Africa’s most scenic areas - Cape Point and Cape Peninsula. During the tour you travel along the Atlantic Seaboard via Sea Point, Clifton and Camps Bay, stop at a Llandudno look-out point and continue on to Hout Bay - a quaint village and fishing harbor with magnificent mountain views and an idyllic beach.

Optional tour: Boat trip to Seal Island.

Then you proceed down Chapman's Peak that is one of the world's most breathtaking coastal drives, to Cape Point and the Good Hope Nature Reserve boasting magnificent fynbos vegetation and endemic antelope species.

You continue your tour with a visit to a historic Simon's Town where you see a Naval Base and visit the beautiful Boulders Beach to view a large colony of the African Penguin in their natural habitat.

Your tour finishes with a visit to the Kirstenbosch Botanical Gardens founded in 1913 to preserve the country's unique flora. This garden is famous for being one of the eight National Botanical Gardens encompassing five of South Africa's six different biomes.
