Auckland Sightseeing Tour
After breakfast at your hotel, meet your guide in the lobby and embark on an enriching tour through Auckland, New Zealand's bustling metropolis. Your journey begins in the eclectic Queen Street, a mecca for unique dining and shopping. You pass by the War Memorial Museum, located atop the historical volcano, Pukekawa.

From there, revel in the serene waterfront vistas at Mission Bay and the historically significant Bastion Point. Pause to admire the panoramic views from the Michael Joseph Savage Memorial, situated over the glistening Waitemata Harbour and North Shore. Explore Auckland's fashionable districts of Ponsonby and Parnell, renowned for their exclusive boutiques.

Conclude your tour with a spectacular ascent to the SkyDeck of Auckland's iconic Sky Tower, offering a 360-degree view that encapsulates the city's diverse landscape and waterfront. After the tour, your afternoon is free for optional activities. 

Bay of Islands Discovery 

Situated on the east coast of the Far North District of New Zealand's North Island, the Bay of Islands holds a significant place in history. Approximately 700 years ago, it served as the first settlement for Maori tribes upon their arrival in New Zealand.

A stopover on Urupukapuka Island provides a chance to relax on the beach or embark on a scenic walk to the island's summit, offering panoramic views of the surrounding landscape. Don't miss the opportunity to visit the famous Hole in the Rock on Motukokako Island as the boat sails to the end of the Cape Brett Peninsula.

Finally, you'll journey back to Auckland, traversing the scenic roads of Northland and concluding our unforgettable adventure.

Recognizing the potential of this private farm, Sir Peter Jackson and his team chose it as the perfect spot to construct the village of Hobbiton for the award-winning The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movie trilogies. Enjoy a guided tour and witness the picturesque village you saw on screen come to life before your eyes.

All tours of the Hobbiton Movie Set now include an interior Hobbit Hole™ experience, meticulously designed and crafted by the renowned creative teams behind The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit film trilogies. Nestled on Bagshot Row™, these Hobbit Holes provide an authentic glimpse into the charming dwellings of Hobbits in the Shire™.

After your Hobbiton movie set tour, you'll return to Rotorua, arriving at 2:15 PM.

After breakfast private driver will pick you up and transfers to the train station.  Getting from Picton to Christchurch couldn't be more relaxing and there is plenty to do en-route - so make time to travel this historic scenic route!
