Day-by-Day

Day 1

Arrival in Stockholm & City Tour

Welcome to the fabulous capital of Sweden - Stockholm! Your private driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

After having some rest you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and enjoy a 3-hour walking city tour around the most interesting Stockholm attractions. During the tour you explore the amazing Stockholm Old Town, visit its colorful Stortorget Square and witness the famous Changing of the Royal Guard ceremony.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free to explore Stockholm on your own or enjoy one of our optional evening recommendations.

  • Optional tour: Visit to the Royal Palace & City Hall
    We invite you to explore the 18th century Royal Palace - the official residence of His Majesty the King of Sweden. Also visit the famous City Hall - a place where Nobel Prizes are given and received.
  • Optional evening activity #1: Opera performance at the Royal Opera Hous
    See an opera performance at the Royal Opera House - Sweden's premier stage for opera and ballet that lies in the center of the city at the Gustav Adolf Square.
  • Optional evening activity #2: Visit to the Ice Bar
    The Icebar is an exclusive and highly popular location, the cold interior is stylishly decorated with statues carved out of ice blocks. The bar tables, decorations, even the glasses are made of ice.

Day 2

Visit to the Skansen & Vasa Museums

Following breakfast your driver takes you to the Skansen Museum - the world's first open-air museum founded in 1891, that demonstrates the country's life before the industrial era. During the tour you take a fascinating journey through the five centuries of Swedish history, see the large collection of traditional rural houses and visit the museum’s zoo that represents about 75 different species of both domestic and wild Scandinavian animals, including brown bears, seals, lynx and wolverines.

Later you walk to the nearby Vasa Museum rated as the most visited museum in the entire Scandinavia. This museum is famous for being home to the only intact 17th-century ship in the world - the Vasa. Sank on its maiden voyage in 1628 and salvaged only 333 years later, it managed to preserve more than 95 percent of its body in original state.

  • Optional lunch: Lunch at the Vasa Museum next to the 17th-century ship.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free (transfer to the hotel is not included).

  • Optional tour: Winter Stockholm boat cruise.
    During this winter boat ride you cruise along the city’s quays around the islands of Fjäderholmarna listening to interesting facts about Stockholm’s history and surroundings.​
  • Optional dinner: Dinner at a specialized Viking restaurant Aifur with authentic atmosphere and menu.

Day 3

Free Day in Stockholm

This day is free for you to explore Stockholm on your own. You can take a walk around the charming cobbled streets of the Old Town, taste some traditional dishes in a local restaurant or join our specially prepared optional tour.

  • Optional tour: Trip to Uppsala and Sigtuna
    After breakfast you meet your guide and driver in the lobby and take a short ride to the authentic medieval towns of Uppsala and Sigtuna to enjoy the special charm of these places.

Day 4

Flight to Lulea & Harads Village Tour

After breakfast you check out from your hotel and your driver transfers you to the airport for a flight to Lulea. Upon arrival your private driver takes you to the charming village of Harads where you check in to your unique Tree Hotel nestled in the middle of the forest.

After having some rest you are invited to enjoy a walking tour around the village with a kick-sled ride. After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

  • Optional tour: Trip to Flakaberg village.
    This is a 6-hour guided tour to the village of Flakaberg with a unique insight into the Sami culture. Your guide picks you up and takes you to Flakaberg located about 80 km from Harads. 
  • Optional lunch / dinner: An exciting outdoor lunch or dinner with the chance to see the Northern Lights.
  • Optional evening activity: Sauna visit.

Day 5

Transfer to Kiruna

After breakfast you are transferred to the Boden railway station to board the train to Kiruna. Upon arrival you have a private transfer to the original Ice Hotel - the world’s first and largest hotel built entirely of snow and ice.

  • Note: Warm accommodation in a traditional hotel is available on request.

The rest of the day is free. In the late evening you are invited to relax in a traditional Swedish sauna (sauna visit is included in your package).

  • Optional tour: Northern Lights snowmobile tour or Northern Lights horseback riding tour.
    Join your specially trained guide for a nightly excursion in search of the Northern Lights. For the best chance to see this phenomenon you head out into the untouched wilderness of the neighborhood.

Day 6

Train to Abisko & Northern Lights Hunting

After breakfast you have some free time to enjoy the surrounding nature of Kiruna on your own.

  • Optional activity: Husky dog ride
    Be part of the fantastic Northern adventure, driving your own team of well-trained and enthusiastic huskies through the fascinating landscape the arctic wilderness has to offer!

In the afternoon you are transferred to the train station to board the train that takes you to Abisko. Upon arrival you go to your hotel located very close to the train station.

In the evening you enjoy a guided tour to the Aurora Sky Station - the best place to watch the Northern Lights. The tour starts with a beautiful chairlift ride up to the station that provides a unique chance to enjoy the beauty of the Abisko National Park at night.

During the tour you enjoy fantastic Northern Lights views from a large panoramic platform while your guide will tell you many interesting facts about the Aurora and the region. You can also visit a cozy cafe, a souvenir shop, a look-out tower and Northern Lights exhibition.

  • Optional dinner: Exclusive dinner at the Aurora Sky Station.

Day 7

Free Day in Abisko

This day is free for you to enjoy the fascinating Abisko neighborhood on your own or join our specially prepared optional tour.

  • Optional tour: Visit to the Sami Camp. Enjoy a guided tour to an authentic recreation of a Sami village - an exhibition displaying how the Sami lived in the late 19th century.

Day 8

Departure from Kiruna or Optional extension to Iceland

This is the last day of your amazing Swedish adventure! After breakfast you go to the train station (easily accessible by foot) to board a train that takes you to Kiruna. Upon arrival your driver transfers you to the airport for your flight back home. We wish you a safe flight and hope to work on your future trips!
