Arrival to Engelberg

Upon arrival in Engelberg, a picturesque alpine village surrounded by majestic mountains and renowned for its outdoor activities, check in to your hotel. Engelberg is also the starting point of your hiking adventure, setting the stage for the days ahead.

The rest of the day is free for you to relax, explore the village at your own pace, or enjoy a cozy evening in this charming alpine setting.

Engelberg to Melchsee-Frutt Hike

Place your luggage by the reception — it will be transferred to your next hotel in Melchsee-Frutt.
This morning, set out on a scenic hike from Engelberg to Melchsee-Frutt, a route that winds through peaceful alpine meadows, past crystal-clear streams, and beneath the dramatic peaks of the Uri Alps. Along the way, enjoy sweeping mountain views and the fresh scent of pine in the air.

Melchsee-Frutt to Meiringen & Grindelwald Hike

Today, continue your way to Grindelwald. At 6,300 ft (1,920 m), Melchsee-Frutt offers the quintessential Swiss Alps experience. Nestled among green pastures, the air is fresh and filled with the gentle clanging of cowbells. Accessible only on foot or by cable car, this serene location feels truly alpine.

Today’s hike takes you past sweeping valleys and beneath majestic peaks like the Wetterhorn, Mittelhorn, and Rothorn. You’ll reach the Grosse Scheidegg mountain pass, a perfect spot for panoramic views, before continuing to the Mägisalp cable car station for a descent to Meiringen. From there, a local postal bus brings you to the resort of Grindelwald.

Grindelwald to Wengen

Today, continue your way and hike from Grindelwald to Wengen through the iconic Jungfrau region. The route passes Alpiglen and Kleine Scheidegg, offering stunning views of the Eiger North Face and surrounding peaks. Descend into Wengen, a car-free village above Lauterbrunnen Valley.

Lauterbrunnen, Gimmelwald & Mürren

Today explore the Lauterbrunnen Valley, famous for its waterfalls. Optional routes include hiking to Gimmelwald and continuing to Mürren (1,661 m), or taking the cable car to Gimmelwald and hiking to Mürren for a gentler day. Optional: take the Schilthorn gondola to 2,970 m for 360° panoramic views. Luggage will arrive at your Mürren hotel by 18:00.

Departure to Zermatt

Today marks the final day of your hiking adventure—an amazing achievement! Take a moment to celebrate completing this incredible journey and reflect on the stunning landscapes you’ve experienced along the way.

After breakfast and check-out, take the train to Zermatt.

Arrival 
Zermatt is famous not only for being a popular ski resort. This lovely village is located in the southern canton of Valais which is home to some of the world's most spectacular mountains, including Matterhorn.

Upon arrival, you walk to your hotel for check-in and have the rest of the day at leisure.

Departure

Today is your final day. After breakfast, take the train to Zurich Airport for your flight home.
