Julian Alps
You start the day in one of the most scenic mountain huts in the Slovenian Alps, waking to a sunrise that paints Mt. Triglav — Slovenia’s highest peak — in brilliant morning light. Below, green alpine meadows are scattered with old shepherd huts, while rugged limestone peaks rise all around.
Today’s trail leads you through picturesque alpine pastures, golden larch forests, and striking rocky terrain that feels almost otherworldly. Your journey ends near the enchanting Triglav Lakes, where you spend the night in a cozy mountain hut surrounded by serene alpine beauty.
Hiking Day 2: ~9 km, 770 m ascent, 520 m descent, with an optional peak extension adding ~200 m of elevation gain. Expect 6–8 hours of hiking. Accommodation is in a shared mountain hut with hearty, home-cooked meals provided.
Julian Alps
Today you hike through the breathtaking Triglav Lakes Valley — a stunning alpine corridor dotted with seven crystal-clear mountain lakes. Nestled beneath dramatic limestone cliffs, this valley is one of the most picturesque corners of the Julian Alps. Stretching for about eight kilometers, it climbs from 1,294 meters above Lake Bohinj to nearly 1,933 meters, not far from the iconic summit of Mt. Triglav.
You’ll spend the night in a charming mountain hut set in the greener, lower parts of the Julian Alps — a peaceful place to rest and refuel after a rewarding day on the trail.
Hiking Day 3: ~15.5 km, 160 m ascent, 700 m descent. Expect 6–8 hours of hiking. Accommodation includes private rooms, hot showers, and hearty, home-cooked meals.

Today you hike to Lake Krn, a picture-perfect alpine gem measuring about 300 meters long and 150 meters wide — the largest mountain lake in Slovenia. Nestled among the towering peaks of the southwestern Julian Alps, it’s a truly breathtaking spot to pause and enjoy the views.
After lunch by the lake, you continue your descent into the beautiful Soča Valley, your home for the final day of the tour.
Hiking Day 4: ~14 km, 410 m ascent, 1,200 m descent. Expect 7–8 hours of hiking. In the evening, you’ll transfer to Kobarid in the Soča Valley.
