Day-by-Day

Day 1
Arrival in Madrid

Welcome to the capital of Spain and one of the most beautiful cities in the world - Madrid! Upon arrival, your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your downtown hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free so you can start exploring the magnificent old town on your own, dine in one of the authentic local restaurants or take a good rest in your comfortable room.

Day 2
Madrid Old Town Tour


Following breakfast at your hotel, you meet your guide and enjoy a fascinating sightseeing tour around the most brilliant attractions of Madrid de los Austrias - the amazing old town of the Spanish capital that treasures historical monuments dating back to the 16th and 17th centuries when Spain was ruled by the House of the Hapsburgh.

During the tour, you take a walk around Plaza de Oriente, enter the gorgeous Royal Palace called Palacio Real, see the beautiful exteriors of the Catedral Nuestra Senora de la Almudena and stroll through Major Street.

Next, you proceed to Plaza de la Villa, stop by St. Michel's Market and walk down the picturesque Cava de San Miguel. Your tour finishes at iconic Plaza Mayor and breathtaking Puerta del Sol.

After the touring is over you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

    Madrid Tapas walking tour gives you an exclusive opportunity to try a variety of delicious tapas, wines, and beers in Madrid's city center.
  • Optional tour: Tortilla and Vermouth Tour of Madrid
    Together with your guide, you enjoy a nice historical walk through the Malasaña quarter of Madrid. Along the way, you visit several different taverns to try a traditional drink called vermouth, made with seasoned and fortified wine.

Day 3
Madrid of the Bourbons & Prado Museum

Following breakfast at your hotel, you meet your guide and go on a walking tour to discover Madrid of the Bourbons - the historical area around the Prado Museum.

During the tour, you pass the Puerta de Alcala, Plaza Cibeles, and three monumental fountains: Cibeles, Apolo, and Neptuno. Next, you proceed to the Spanish Parliament building, see the Atocha train station and explore the area of the Golden Triangle of Art made up of three most important art museums of Madrid - the Prado, the Thyssen-Bornemitza and the Reina Sofia.

The highlight of the tour is the visit to one of the world's greatest art galleries and Madrid's top cultural sight - the Prado Museum. This venue houses a unique collection of fine art displayed in the halls and rooms of this 18th-century Neo-Classical building. You see the most significant gems of the museum's collection, including the famous masterpieces of El Greco, Velazquez, Goya, Raphael and Rubens.

After the tour, you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

    During the tour, you are taken through two of the most iconic local neighborhoods of Madrid. Stop at the main markets for local food tastings and admire some historical parts.

Day 4
Exploring Treasures of Toledo & Train to Cordoba

This day is devoted entirely to the exploration of Toledo - the former Spanish capital and one of the oldest towns in Europe.

Following breakfast at your Madrid hotel, you walk to the train station and enjoy a 30-minute train ride to Toledo (regular class train tickets to and from Toledo are included).

Upon arrival, your local guide meets you at the train station and takes you on a city tour around the mesmerizing landmarks of the ancient Toledo.

During the tour, you walk through the cobblestone streets of the Old Town, explore the fortified city walls and see the famous UNESCO World Heritage-listed medieval architecture, including the 13th-century Cathedral of Toledo and Synagogue (entrances included).

After the tour, you return to Madrid by train. Later you have a transfer to the railway station for a high-speed train ride to Cordoba (first class tickets are included). Upon arrival, you are transferred to your downtown hotel.

Day 5
Exploring Alhambra of Granada

After breakfast, your driver transfers you to the railway station for your train ride to Antequera.

Upon arrival, you meet your guide and driver at the train station and enjoy a picturesque panoramic ride through the city of Antequera - the town that combines significant influence of Moorish, Roman and Spanish cultures.

Then you are transferred to Granada, the beautiful city located at the foot of the Sierra Nevada mountains and known as the last stronghold of the Moors in Western Europe. You discover the main treasure of Granada and Spain's most visited attraction - the Alhambra Fortress that used to be the residence of the Muslim rulers and their court. Together with your private guide you get to know this historical place and get awe-inspired by its numerous arabesques, porticos, pools and Islamic ornamental masterpieces of its hallways.

After the tour and time for lunch, your driver transfers you to the Antequera railway station for your train back to Cordoba. Upon arrival, you have a transfer back to your hotel.

Day 6
Exploring Cordoba Highlights

Following breakfast, you meet your private guide in the hotel lobby and enjoy a 3-hour guided walking tour around the most outstanding sights of Cordoba that used to be the largest city in Roman Spain.

While exploring the city with your guided tour, you see the beautiful Roman Bridge, the famous 14th-century Royal Castle - Alcazar de los Reyes Cristianos, and the Great Mosque of Cordoba that is the oldest mosque in Europe.

After the tour of Cordoba, you have the rest of the day at your leisure.

    Califal and Arabic Heritage Tour is dedicated to Arabic culture and the many ways in which it has influenced Cordoban architecture, history, and cuisine.

Day 7
Train to Seville & Flamenco Show

Today following breakfast you check out from your hotel, meet your driver and head to the station for a train to Seville. Upon arrival to Seville, you are transferred to your hotel.

In the evening prepare for one of the highlights of your trip - Flamenco performance. The show venue is located within walking distance from your hotel.

Day 8
Visit to the Seville Cathedral & Alcazar

After breakfast at your hotel, you meet with your guide in the hotel lobby and have a panoramic city tour of Seville.

Today you get to experience the authentic spirit of Andalusia in one of its most important cities. Your sightseeing program features visiting top sights including the symbol of the city - the Giralda Tower, the Seville Cathedral, and the Real Alcazar of Seville - the oldest European royal residence composed of a group of buildings from different time periods (entrances included). Your tour finishes at the scenic Plaza de Espana - a dazzling palace complex dating back to the epoch of Renaissance and considered to be among the most beautiful complexes of its kind in the world.

  • Optional tour: Ceramics Museum Tour, Seville
    Meet your guide and explore one of the most popular tourist attractions in Seville - the Ceramics Museum, explaining the history, influences of the ceramic industry in Seville and the processes of making ceramics in Triana.

Day 9
Free Day in Seville and Optional Tours

This day is free for you to enjoy and explore Seville on your own. Alternatively, you can join one of our carefully planned optional day trips to Jerez & Cadiz or Ronda & White Village.

  • Optional tour: Day Trip to Jerez and Cadiz from Seville
    Enrich your trip by going to Jerez and Cadiz, which are among the oldest cities in Europe with more than 3 millennia of history. As a special experience, you visit one of the local wine cellars for a wine tasting.
  • Optional tour: Day Trip to Ronda and White Villages from Seville
    Travel through the ancient Andalusian kingdoms of Castille and Granada. See the medieval Castle of Las Aguzaderas, one of the picturesque Pueblos Blancos and visit the bullring in Ronda.

Day 10
Departure

Today is the last day of your journey around Central and Southern Spain. Your driver meets you in the hotel lobby and takes you to the airport. We hope to see you soon again!
