Day-by-Day

Day 1
Arrival in Moscow

Welcome to the legendary capital of Russia - Moscow! Your driver meets you at the airport and transfers you to your centrally located hotel for check-in.

The rest of the day is free to relax in your cozy room, dine in one of the nearby restaurants or start exploring the amazing city center on your own.

No meals included.

Day 2
Moscow City Tour & Visit to the Tretyakov Gallery

After breakfast you meet your private guide and driver at the hotel lobby and start a wonderful city tour around the most magnificent Moscow landmarks.

During the tour you take a walk at the beautiful Red Square, go inside the colorful St. Basil's Cathedral, admire a beautiful facade of the famous GUM department store, see the spectacular Cathedral of Christ the Savior (if time allows) and enjoy one of the best city views at Sparrow Hills.

You then proceed to the world-famous treasure trove of the Russian fine art, the Tretyakov Gallery, where you have amazing time viewing the gems of its collection, including the famous masterpieces of Ivan Aivazovsky, Mikhail Vrubel and Viktor Vasnetsov.

After the tour you are transferred to your hotel and have the rest of the day free.

Day 3
Visiting the Kremlin & Armoury Chamber

This day is dedicated to the exploration of one of the most outstanding Moscow icons - the Kremlin

Following breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go inside the Kremlin walls to visit its famous Armoury Chamber that houses a unique collection of crown jewels, stunning coronation finery, hand-forged armor and weapons, royal carriages and sleighs, and world-famous Fabergé eggs.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. In the evening you can enjoy an optional tour.

  • Optional tour: Moskva River Boat Ride & Moscow by Night Tour
    Your tour starts in the evening from 1.5 hours boat ride along the Moskva river and opens a different perspective of the Russian capital. Next you enjoy a wonderful panoramic city tour.

Day 4
Exploring Novodevichy Convent & Subway Ride

Following breakfast you check out from your hotel and enjoy a guided tour to one of the most beautiful Russia’s monasteries - the Novodevichy Convent.

During the tour you explore the unique interiors of the Convent and visit its Cemetery that is considered one of Moscow’s most prestigious resting places. Many famous Russian political leaders, actors, scientists, poets and musicians are buried there, including Mstislav Rostropovich, Mikhail Bulgakov, Anton Chekhov, Vladimir Mayakovsky and Boris Yeltsin. The cemetery has a park-like ambiance, dotted with small chapels and beautiful monuments, that makes you feel like strolling in the park of sculptures.

Later you explore one of the most interesting sites in Moscow hidden deep beneath the surface - the Moscow Subway You have a quick subway ride to taste local life and enjoy the splendid decorations of its stations.

After the tour you are transferred to the train station where you board the modern high-speed Sapsan train that takes you to St. Petersburg in comfort and safety in just 4 hours.

Upon arrival your driver meets you at the train station platform and takes you to your centrally located hotel for overnight.

Day 5
St. Petersburg City Tour

After breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go on an amazing panoramic city tour around the most cherished gems of St. Petersburg, including Palace Square, the Hermitage Museum, the St. Isaac's Cathedral, the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, Nevsky Prospect and many other popular attractions (no entrances included).

During the tour you also visit the Peter and Paul Fortress - a burial place of almost all the Russian emperors and empresses from Peter the Great to Nicholas II and his family. Then you go inside to the magnificent St. Isaac's Cathedral and the Church of the Savior on Spilled Blood, which stands where Russia's great emperor Alexander II was mortally wounded.

In the evening you can enjoy an optional activity.

  • Optional activity: Feel Yourself Russian Folk Show, Nikolaevsky Palace
    Enchanting festival of Russian spirit "Feel yourself Russian" is performed by a professional folk ensemble at the Nikolaevsky Palace. Three musicians brilliantly perform folk compositions.

Day 6
Tour of the Hermitage Museum

Following breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and go to the legendary Hermitage Museum, that houses its unique collection of world art, including the masterpieces of Leonardo da Vinci, Rembrandt, El Greco, Francisco Goya and Thomas Gainsborough in the halls of the Winter Palace.

They say that if you were to spend three minutes by each of the exhibits in the Hermitage, it would have taken you three years to see the entire exhibition. But don't worry - you have an experienced guide, who will show you the best rooms and halls of the exhibit within several hours.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. In the evening you can enjoy an optional tour carefully prepared for you.

  • Optional tour: Rivers & Canals Boat Ride, St. Petersburg
    Visit to St. Petersburg won't be complete without a magnificent boat ride across its numerous rivers and canals that are an inherent part of the romantic image of the city.

Day 7
Trip to Peterhof

After breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and travel to the outskirts of St. Petersburg to explore the former summer residence of Russian tsars, Peterhof.

During the tour you visit the famous Bath Cottage, which offers a fascinating insight into everyday life of Russian court, and take a walk in the beautiful Lower Park, lavishly adorned with 176 fountains of various forms and styles and numerous gilded statues of ancient gods and heroes.

After the tour you return to your hotel and have the rest of the day free. In the evening you can take an optional tour.

    Your private guide takes you to one of the most beautiful palaces in St. Petersburg - the Shuvalov Palace to show you the world’s largest collection of works by Carl Fabergé.

Day 8
Trip to Pushkin

After breakfast you meet your guide at the hotel lobby and head for Pushkin (Tsarskoye Selo) to explore the brilliant Catherine's Palace that is a striking example of baroque architecture gifted by Peter the Great to his wife Catherine I.

During the tour you walk through the lavish parks and gardens of this outstanding palace and enjoy its gorgeous interiors, including the replica of the world-renowned Amber Room.

After the tour you return to your hotel in St. Petersburg and have the rest of the day free.

Day 9
Departure from St. Petersburg

This is the final day of your amazing Moscow - St. Petersburg tour. After breakfast you check out from your hotel and your private driver takes you to the airport for your flight back home.

What to Know
  • Russian climate may be unpredictable and weather can be quite harsh even during summers, bringing a water-resistant jacket, umbrella, and some warm clothes is a must.
  • Debit and credit cards are accepted in most places in Moscow and Saint Petersburg, and there are plenty of ATMs if you need some cash for meals and tips.
  • Usual tip size in restaurants is 10% of the check. Recommended tips for guides and drivers is $8-12 per day for a great level of service.
