Arrival and Departure to Mecca
Welcome to Medina, home to the Prophet's Mosque (Al-Masjid an-Nabawi), which contains the tomb of the Prophet Muhammad. It’s a major pilgrimage destination for Muslims, especially during Hajj and Umrah.
Medina is where the Prophet Muhammad established the first Islamic community after migrating from Mecca in 622 CE (the Hijra). It’s the site of key events in early Islamic history, including the Constitution of Medina, a pioneering document for governance and coexistence.
The city hosts historical sites like the Quba Mosque (the first mosque in Islam) and the Qiblatain Mosque (where the direction of prayer changed from Jerusalem to Mecca). It’s also known for its traditional markets and Islamic architecture. Millions visit annually for prayer and to experience its serene, spiritual atmosphere, drawn by its deep connection to Islamic faith and history.
Arrival
On arrival in Mecca, you’ll check into your hotel.
Take some time to rest after your journey. When ready, you will prepare for Umrah by performing ghusl (a ritual purification bath) and changing into the ihram garments: two simple white cloths for men, and modest, body-covering attire for women. With calm and focus, you will then make your intention for Umrah at the designated Miqat.
Begin your Umrah at Masjid al-Haram with Tawaf, circling the Kaaba seven times in devotion. Pray two rak’ahs near Maqam Ibrahim, drink from the blessed Zamzam water, walking between Safa and Marwah. You may then exit ihram and change into regular clothes, marking the fulfillment of your Umrah.
Return to your hotel to rest and eat dinner. Return to Masjid al-Haram for Maghrib and Isha prayers. Spend time in personal worship, such as reciting Quran or making dua near the Kaaba.

Spiritual Focus and Exploration
Wake up early for Fajr prayer at Masjid al-Haram, arriving before the adhan to secure a good spot. If energy permits, perform a voluntary Tawaf, circling the Kaaba seven times, then spend time in heartfelt dua or Quran recitation in a quiet area of the mosque.
Enhance your spiritual journey with a visit to Mecca’s revered Islamic sites. Begin at Jabal al-Nour (Cave of Hira), where Prophet Muhammad received the first revelation—a 45-minute climb requiring sturdy shoes and water, allowing 2–3 hours to fully experience. Optionally, visit Jannat al-Mu’alla, the historic cemetery of the Prophet’s family, including Khadijah (RA), for reflection and dua.
Return to Masjid al-Haram for Maghrib and Isha prayers, then remain for optional worship, such as tahajjud or personal reflection in the mosque’s serene night atmosphere. Those with energy may also perform an additional voluntary Tawaf, adding further blessings to the day.

Day of Devotion and Reflection
In the morning attend Fajr prayer at Masjid al-Haram. Arrive early to sit closer to the Kaaba.
Spend 1-2 hours after Fajr reciting Quran or making dua in the mosque. Focus on personal supplications for yourself, family, and the ummah.
Discover the artistry behind the Kiswah, the sacred cloth that covers the Kaaba, on a visit to the Kaaba Kiswah Factory. Learn about its history, witness the intricate craftsmanship of skilled artisans, and gain a deeper understanding of this important Islamic tradition.
End your day at Masjid al-Haram with Maghrib and Isha prayers, perform a farewell Tawaf (Tawaf al-Wada) if departing, and spend time in reflection, dua, and seeking blessings.
