Itinerary

Day 1: Arrival in Paris & City Tour

Welcome to the most romantic city in the world and the charming capital of France - Paris! Upon arrival, your driver meets you at the exit gates of the airport holding a sign with your name on it. He transfers you to the centrally-located hotel for check-in. You have a couple of hours to take a good rest after the flight.

In the afternoon you meet with your private guide and enjoy a walking tour of the city called "Feel Yourself Parisien". After your first encounter with the legendary sights of the City of Light we have prepared a relaxing and enjoyable surprise for the evening - a picnic with the locals on the banks of the Seine. This is a perfect chance for you to learn about the insights of living in one of the most beautiful cities in Europe and in fact in the entire world.

After the tour you return to your hotel.

Day 2: Sightseeing Tour of Paris City Center

After breakfast you meet with your guide who takes you on a walking tour of the main highlights of Paris (total tour duration: 4,5 hours). You start off from seeing the Arc de Triomphe from the Concorde square. Next is a walk through the Vendome Square, the Tuilries Garden, the Latin Quartier, Egyptian obelisk at the Concorde Square and plenty of other places of interest.

Your tour continues in Monmartre. This is one of the most picturesque places in Paris which reflects the two thousand years history from druids to modern life. You see Parisian vineyards, authentic mills, crowded Tertre and Abesses squares, charming gastronomic restaurants and famous Bateaux Lavoir where the group of outstanding artists (Henri Matisse, Pablo Picasso etc.) lived and worked. You see the main Monmartre symbol - Sacré Coeur Basilica with breath-taking views of the city from the highest point of the hill.

Yet another highlight of the day is a visit to the heart of the city – Cité Island with gorgeous Notre Dame de Paris. This gothic cathedral is considered to be the most well-known in the world. Then you walk to the left side of the river Seine – to the Latin Quarter where many schools, universities and bookstores are located. You see The Sorbonne University and enjoy its unique students’ life atmosphere, walk in glorious Luxembourg Gardens where famous French philosophers looked for inspiration.

We saved one of the highlights of the tour for the evening when you attend a wine tasting ceremony in a local family. This is an experience like no other! Your professional sommelier takes you on an exciting journey through the legendary French vineyards and expose you to specifics of professional wine-tasting. Day 3: Visit of the Versailles Palace & Park

Following breakfast you enjoy a guided tour of the magnificent Versailles - the famous residence of French kings. Your experienced guide tells you about the history and construction of the palace, flavoring it with exciting stories about such figures as Louis XIV, Marie-Antoinette and Napoleon, while taking you through the Grand Apartments of the King, Grand Apartments of the Queen and the Hall of Mirrors, where the Treaty of Versailles was signed. You also see the Grand Trianon, Petit Trianon and Marie Antoinette's Estate and take a stroll around the endless lavish gardens of Versailles.

After the tour you return to your hotel.

Day 4: Paris - Geneva

Today you depart from Paris. After breakfast at the hotel your driver takes you to the train station where you board a high-speed train for Geneva (journey takes 3 hours).

Upon arrival your guide meets you at the train station and takes you on a round-up tour of Geneva. After enjoying the fresh air and spectacular views of this lakeside city during your tour you check-in to the local hotel.

Optional upgrade: A stay in a cozy château on the shores of Lausanne Lake offering breathtaking views of the lake (40 min by train from Geneva).

Day 5: Milan

After breakfast at your Lausanne hotel you board the train and return to Geneva from where your day trip continues on to the capital of high fashion - Milan.

Upon arrival in Milan you are met by your private driver and taken to the hotel. We've saved the rest of the day for you to enjoy the city's abundant shopping experiences!

Day 6: Venice

Following breakfast at the hotel your driver meets you at the lobby and takes you to the train station. Today you travel to one of the most romantic places on Earth, Venice, on a high-speed modern train (journey takes 2 hours).

Once in Venice you have a water taxi take you to the hotel. After check-in you meet with your private guide and enjoy a 4-hour guided tour of Venice that includes all of the must-see places for the first-time visitor. Your tour starts with a visit to the St. Mark's Basilica (entrance fee is not included), where you can see the Pala D'Oro and the Treasury that contains most of the booty from Venice's notorious raid on Constantinople back in 1204, the Loggia dei Cavalli, and enjoy the best view of St. Mark's square.

The next on the list is the tour of the Doges Palace that includes crossing the Bridge of Sighs, visiting the old prisons and the luxuriously decorated chambers of the Palace. As a grand finale of this day is a 1-hour boat ride along the main street of Venice, the Grand Canal, and minor canals to provide you with a fully rounded introduction to the most unique city in the world.

After extensive touring you are accompanied to your hotel. The rest of the evening is free for you to enjoy the Italian masterpiece on your own.

Day 7: From Venice to Rome

After breakfast at the hotel you have some free time to enjoy the city on your own. You can also add on an optional tour to Murano and Burano.

Optional tour: Visit to Murano and Burano

First you visit the island of Burano, one of the most picturesque of the Venetian lagoon. This charming and colorful fishing village with beautiful streets and canals lined by pastel colored houses is famous for its lace-making industry. After Burano tour you make your way to Murano which is the most famous of the Venetian Islands, thanks to the world known Murano Glass, produced here. Today you visit a selected glass-factory, where you see a demonstration of glass-blowing and visit the factory's showroom full of beautiful glassware.

In the afternoon your water taxi takes you to the train station from where you depart to Rome on a high-speed train (time traveling: 3 hours).

You arrive in Rome in the evening and after your driver takes you to the hotel you have the rest of the evening free.

Day 8: Walking Tour of Rome

After breakfast you enjoy a magnificent walking city tour with an experienced guide. You stroll through the very heart of Rome and see most of the famous attractions and hidden treasures of this Eternal city.

Today you explore the Spanish Steps, Trevi Fountain, Pantheon, Piazza Navona, the famous Fountain of the Four Rivers, masterpieces by Bernini, Borromini and many others, and a delightful church or two, off the beaten track.

In the afternoon you enter the evocative ruins of the Roman Forum, visit the Palatine Hill that offers incredible views of Ancient Rome, including the Imperial Palace and Circus Maximus. The highlight of the tour is a visit to the imposing Colosseum with no lines guaranteed.

Day 9: Vatican Museums

After breakfast you together with your private guide head to a walled enclave within Rome and the world’s smallest internationally recognized independent state - Vatican. You see the Apostolic Palace and visit private apartments of Julius II decorated by Raphael.

Then you proceed to the Sistine Chapel, where you have enough time to admire Michelangelo's famous frescoes and learn about the intense relationship between Pope Julius II and Michelangelo that drove the artist to create the greatest work of Art the world has ever known.

Your tour continues in the vast open spaces of St. Peter’s Basilica where you see a stunning Pieta - a world-famous work of Renaissance sculpture by Michelangelo, and Bernini's impressive Papal Canopy, a legacy left to the Basilica by the Barberini family. Your tour ends at St. Peter’s Square, where you admire Michelangelo's Dome and the gorgeous colonnades designed by Bernini.

In the evening you are welcome to enjoy our signature Firebird Local Experience: cooking dinner with a local family. Once your traditional Italian meal is consumed, your driver will take you to the hotel.
